MM: would you consider yourself an accomplished cunnilinguist?
BB: probably not as accomplished as you would want me to be
BB: but you would teach me
MM: i suppose i could do that
BB: i'd want to learn
MM: i'm not an expert. i know only what works for me.
BB: that's a start for anyone.

OK, so I take a hiatus of a couple of weeks from this thread, and find that Bashful is in the envious position of trying to wrangle HOW MANY women by himself?

I'd offer to help him out--but I suspect that he may prefer the odds as they are...

I probably only read about 75% of this thread, but the first thing that I noticed is how supportive you people became of each other. It kind of seemed like a compaint thread at the start, then gradually changed over to everyone offering words of encouragement to each other. Amazing, isn't it? This is how it should be. You guys are alright. One person refered to how her son had his nose broken, but the next day was right back out there running and playing. Funny how when we become adults we start to hang on to the negative longer and longer. Life is full of disappoinments. Why do focus on them? We males have our shortcomings, that is for sure. The best thing for us is to be courteous, kind, and open to the ladies lead. But a beautiful woman can be an intimidating thing. At times we get frustrated by our own inability to live up to the expectations we have for ourselves. The cowards run and the rest of us apologize.

i think i've read posts by you on other boards, horatio. i like the way you've read the posts and then sum them up and mention some specific observations. in the battle of the sexes, we all win when we um cum together?

cheers,
mia

you hit the nail right on the head. the more that we support each other the better our chances of success in whatever we are trying to do.

Hi Horatio....welcome to Lit and the Disappointments thread.

Yes, this place is wonderful. Not just this thread, either. I recently had a tragedy in my family and I got so much support from the Lit community...it just blew my mind.
My son was the one you mentioned above about the broken nose....yeah, that was a trip. One day he runs in crying, face covered in blood and his nose literally flattened on his face. The next day he's outside running around with Mom chasing behind yelling at him to "be careful with your nose"! LOL!

Well, don't be intimidate by me, sweetie. I'm just a frumpy old housewife....and as sweet as the dickens to boot. (ain't that right, Roman and Bash!.....lol) Of course, there are about 2 weeks out of the month where I'm a PMS bitch, but I usually don't bite unless asked to.......hehehehe

Welcome aboard!

Hey NA! Go study and learn some good stuff! I wish I'd gone on to college. Keep thinking about going now, in my old age, but don't know that I could keep up, what with the brain cells dying out at a fast pace.....

You may just benefit more now than ever, Daisy; you're not old or losing brain cells, be less hard on yourself, please.:rose:

Well, definitely losing brain cells. How else to explain my poor memory these days? I mean, I was gonna post in a thread about the last book read lately.....and for the life of me I can't recall the name of the book I finished a few days ago, nor the one I'm currently reading. It is upstairs and I don't want to go up just to get the darn thing. Now tell me I'm not losing brain cells!

Yes, I know only too well about that but I was only hoping to give you a little friendly optimism. I have a good knowledge of not so recent cinema but I begin a story and then forget the actor's name, even when its as easy Robert Mitchum or Lee Marvin. Extremely frustrating. :rose:

Ah, thank you, sweetie. But don't get me too optimistic, ya hear? lol Who knows what dangerous stunts I might attempt. hehehehe

what could it lead to.....hee hee....oh, the fun I could have with a line like that! lol

Blue you are younger than i am, so i don't want to hear about the dying brain cells. if i can do this anyone can. not to mention all the fun i have with the instructors that are younger than i am...if you don't want to jump in the deep end of the pool, just take a course or two that interest you to start. it will actually help improve your memory.

I'm in agreement with the wise Native Alien (she's still pretty young, I mean young and pretty).
I took up loads of new things when I was in my 40s; from life-modelling, getting really fit to rebuilding my photographic portfolio. landscaping acres of land, growing trees, trying to write; all stuff I had not the courage or abilities to do earlier.

Mind you, I've forgotten the name of this thread or why I'm saying all this.:rose:

thanks for the backup and support there starkpic...you know i always think two thoughts everyday.

one is i am only as old as i feel,

and age is only a number.

i go to computer classes with a now 87 year old retired doctor that says he got tired of paying the high cost of long distance(not to mention all the females just adore him). he has since branched into web design and e-commerce, and will graduate with me if he keeps going.

so don't ever let a little thing like a number keep ya from doing anything...

Howdy ya'll

just bumping my way through. Keeping the fireplace stoked and have mulled wine waiting (hint, hint) :)
