Thanks! Ya, the tulips wre really putting on a show that day. My favorite thing about this photo is the little girl who ran into the frame just as I was taking it. It adds a bit of story and mystery to the photo, I think.

I do like your flower pics. I try my hand at flower photos from time to time. My favourites are that great burst of yellow in 527 and the sky through the branches in 542.

Yes, it's good to be back home, albeit exhausted and with a totally screwed up body-clock. The fact daylight savings time kicked in while I was away ain't helping much either. However, the pocketbook has a nice heft to it now and the wolves are pushed back from the door for a time...the life of the freelancer!

I've so been enjoying Jake_Knight's photos over on No love for thin guys?, that I got all inspired to take try my hand at taking photos with diffused natural light. It's not something I've done a lot, and that combined with the fact that I'm still getting the hang of the settings on my new camera, very few of my photos came out sharp.

But, I kinda liked the overexposed, unfocused look, so I ran with it. Here's a set featuring a little cleavage...and a lot of whited-out background.
