Different types and multiple orgasms

As far as I know and as far as I'm concerned there is only one type of orgasm. Here on Lit I hear different things and I'm just curious. I think I know fairly well what an orgasm is. It is unmistakeble and I know 100% if I had one or not. If I'm close it feels damn good and sometimes that feeling comes and goes. Still, I'm convinced I did not orgasm, however nice the feeling, before I really do so.

So... what is all this talk about mini orgasms? Multiple ones as well. I can cum twice or even three times a night (or day or whatever) but there has to be some time in between (like a few minutes or so) because I'm too sensitive right after I orgasm.

I guess I'm (only) talking about clitoral orgasm since I'm afraid "they" ( ;) ) forgot to build in the G-spot with me ... :D

Well...

There are vaginal, clitoral, and g-spot orgasms.

Not every woman can have all of them.

For those than CAN have all three, they can vary in intensity.

Some woman become very sensitive after orgasm and cannot continue after having one.

Other woman can keep going after orgasm and continue to have one after another.

I know that I REALLY lucked out when I started dating W&U because, not only is she capable of having all three types of orgasms, but she is also extremely multi-orgasmic (a very rare woman, indeed). Hell, on average, I'd say that she cums three times to my one... And that's just counting from actual intercourse...

Now, enough with my bragging...

M's girl, every woman has a g-spot... However, it can be quite elusive. They vary in size, location, and depth from woman to woman. So, keep looking... You'll eventually find it. And when you DO, it will make your clitoral orgasms seem pale by comparison.

Well we just had a thread discussing the difference between vaginal and clitoral orgasms and I through out some research I found saying that g-spot orgasm are actually a third type of orgasm. I htink Lady Jeanne is planning to have me lynched now, but I guess if I have to go... :)

The answer to your concern about the g-spot and you(sounds like a how-to video, doesn't it) is that no they didn't forget to build it in. I would guess you're trying too hard. The first time I tried this with my wife she came like crazy. The next time she didn't, because she was trying to have one. Just relax and don't alwys try the same thing, different women respond to different stimulations.

As for mini orgasms, not all women have them. My last girlfriend(shit that was so long ago...) had little orgasms, then one big one, and then she was done for the night. My wife is definitely one of the lucky multi orgasmic women, but she doesn't have small orgasms. Every one is a full blown explosion.

She also has sensitivity problems though, primarily with g-spot orgasms. I think the difference is the uteran contractions as opposed to vaginal contracts causes her pain after a few times. She'll probably never be able to handle the 30+ orgasms Mr. GGG likes to decribe. She might be able to handle more clitoral or vaginal orgasms, but until I get that bionic implant or a Pez dispenser full of Viagra, she'll have to settle for what I can provide with my current stamina.

My wife has the attitude that an orgasmis an orgasm. This confused me a bit at first because I thought she was just settling and not really wanting to explore new things. The simple fact though is that her enjoyment of sex is so wrapped up in the emotional side of things that she doesn't really differentiate between whether she cums from oral, penterations, whatever. To her the orgasm is just a phsyical release of pleasure that is intensified by the emotional connection of love making.

I've had orgasms from different types of stimulation, and they don't feel particularly different to me.

- Clit stimulation: my vagina and pc muscles contract

- G-spot: my vagina and pc muscles contract (it almost feels like the g-spot is the 'other end' of my clit)

- vulva stimulation: using a vibrator, I can come from stimulating my lips and other parts (I think this is just indirect, diffused clit stimulation, really). Vaginal and pc muscles contract.

- squirting: using a vibrator, I've done this twice, but it wasn't during g-spot stimulation. I was using the Hitachi Magic Wand, which has a head like a tennis ball, and I was stimulating my clit and urethra at the same time (and, no, it wasn't pee  ). Those orgasms felt different, but only for the fluid rushing out (like squeezing a bottle of water to overflow); the vaginal and pc muscles contracted pretty much the same way.

- multiple: can only do this with a vibrator. After I come the first time (either with my hand or vibe), I wait a few seconds for clit sensitivity to subside a little, then I contract my pc muscles hard and use the vibrator on my clit. Five times in a row is my record, and leaves me exhausted, mostly from contracting the pc muscles so much.

Your mileage may vary.

Hey Phoenix,

Yeah... I know about the three types, of which I only experience the clitoral... and even that is hard to achieve sometimes.

When I made the remark about not having a G-spot... well.... I don't know. If it is there it is VERY well hidden! And believe me, I did try to find it. No luck so far.

But that's not what I meant... I hear women talking about "small" orgasms or "pre-orgasms" and was wondering about those. Like I said: I definately know when I have an orgasm and I do get very sensitive after that. I know the feeling quite well and it's hard for me to comprehend when women say they don't know if they have ever had an orgasm. They probably didn't then, is my opinion, but on the other hand... if they have doubts about that, could that then be the "small" orgasms other women talk about?

I'm just curious.

I wish I could experience all three types and I wish I could have multiples but I don't. I'm not unhappy about that because my sexlife is great as it is and I do orgasm plenty.

Just want to know more on the subject from other (men and) women... so thanks for your reply. :rose:

OK, maybe I'm not understanding what you're defining multiple orgasms as. You said you can come three times a night, but not considering that multiple orgasmic. Are you talking one after the other, after the other?

I think most women who say they don't know if they've had one, have never actually had one.

As for the small orgasms, the only thing I can imagine they're talking about is this: on my way to an orgasm, there are a couple of 'build-up and plataeu' stages. Sometimes, if I'm squeezing my pc muscles and the pre-o feeling is building up, when I release the pc muscles, I might get a slight fluttering of the vaginal muscles that contract when I come. It's the same sensation as the contractions when I come, but a very mild version, and much shorter than an actual orgasm. I would never confuse the two, but I guess if I'd never had an orgasm, it's possible I might think they're the same.

Wow, thanks for this. I really wonder sometimes why I can't do all this. But let me make clear also that it's not at all a problem, I'm just curious. I'm very happy with my sexlife as it is although I think I would probably go crazy if I would discover how to achieve the rest and then M would have to quit his job I'm afraid... ;)

I think I'm a highly sexual person who enjoys sex a lot. I get aroused easily and everything but I do need clit stimulation otherwise NOTHING happens.
I like PIV penetration but just the act in itself does NOTHING for me. I can feel the penis inside me but that is all. You might as well stroke my legs or arms and the pleasurable feeling will be similar, but in no way it will ever get me off.

And it's not like I'm trying too hard to find the G-spot. I think I did my fair amount of "research", also using vibrators and dildo's. Fingers too, of course. The few times men have tried to locate it, the feeling (not like I wanted to pee like many described) was plain annoying. It did not hurt, it did not tickle but it just felt annoying. But again... it's not like I'm deperately trying to find it.

Oh, but this thread is not about finding the (or my) G-spot. There is a perfect informative thread by Mr. G. about this and everything you need to know is explained there.

I'm still just wondering about the "small" and "pre-" orgasms some women talk about.

So....? More input welcome!

Looks like we are writing at the same time :D
This is what I meant...

And if this is what women are talking about.... I have them too. Wouldn't call them small orgasms though...

I'm talking 'taking a serious break' ;) between them... Sometimes we go downstairs for a drink (and smoke)... sometimes we stay in bed and cuddle and talk and end up starting to make love again, and after a while I can orgasm a second or even a third time. But not like described in the G-spot technique or anything, also not like Lady Jeanne described so shortly after another orgasm. I really have to let the sensitivity fade away. I've never timed ( ;) ) the process but imagine it takes at least 5 or 10 minutes. And that's okay since that is most of the time also the period I would have to wait for my man to be ready to go again ;)

I know what you mean about the sensitivity. Squeezing my PC muscles (hard) after the orgasm subsides diminishes the clit sensitivity - that's the only way I can stand any more stimulation. Give it a try with a vibe.

OK I am officially calling it quits with this thread, at least until I get home from work. It's starting to make me sweat!

I have "mini" orgasms when I'm too damn impatient to take it slow and then it just comes and goes really fast. Or I used to when my boyfriend first started giving me oral cause I was a little nervous. Now though......... phew!

OK, will do. And who do I slap in the face when the feeling is just too bloody irritating? (Poor M.... ;) ) I will tell him you told me so... just so you know!

Well, not being a woman, I can't explain the difference in intensity from a woman's view point. However, I can try to explain from MY view point about the difference in intensity of my OWN orgasms...

Sometimes when I cum, it's more of just a biological response than anything else. It feels good, but it's not the mind blowing, makes you see stars sort of thing. It seems to be localized in my penis and, with these small orgasms, I only shoot a few inches... This usually only occurs when I'm alone.

Other times, my orgasm is sooo intense that I can feel it throughout my entire body... My vision becomes blurry to the point of literally seeing stars, my entire body tenses up to the point that I feel sore afterwards, and I can shoot several feet... This usually occurring only when I'm with the woman that I love.

I hope I've explained this well enough to help... :rose:

Thank you Phoenix. What you describe is the difference in intensity. It's (very) nice to hear a man who can actually express well what he feels while having an orgasm. With the small ones (with women) I meant, however, the ones that seem to prelude the big O.

Because the intensity of my orgasms vary also, depending on my state of arousal mainly. Still.... there is only ONE in each session. While I hear that there are women who claim te have several smaller ones before the big O, so to speak.

But again, thanks for your, ehm... input... :D :rose:

phoenix: i have always described that as the distinction b/n ejaculation and orgasm.

OK, so what happens to you after you orgasm? What do you feel? Are you too sensitive to contiue? Do you go kind of numb? What stops you from continuing?

I assume you are asking me? (Or Phoenix?)

Anyway.... what happens... for one my clit becomes very sensitive to the point where, if you would touch it, I could slap you in the face ... :D That lasts a few minutes or so. (.... the feeling, not the slapping :D ). Also I feel a bit drained, but in a good way. If I would give in to that feeling I could fall asleep like a baby in a few seconds but I (almost) always choose not to do so. Also because most of the time M made me cum first and I want to continue for him. I like that too. I can even go on having PIV sex because only my clit is that sensitive; not the rest. My anatomy is such that it's very hard to reach my clit during PIV, hence the difficulty having orgasms through PIV sex. I even encourage M to fuck me right after I had an orgasm if he wants to, and I like the feeling. Also because I can concentrate very well on his pleasure and reactions to it and I like that very much too!

But to go on with the purpose of having another orgasm for ME, we would have to stop all together and start 'fresh' after a while. Almost like 'resetting' me, haha.

Clear enough? ;)
