Did you throw away the thanksgiving leftovers???

They’re all eaten. And the boiled carcass broth is frozen.

I ate most of it. I have some mashed potatoes that need to be thrown out.
Who needs all that starch?

I had a downsized Thanksgiving with a smaller ham and fewer side dishes. The only thing not skimped on was pumpkin pie, but it never survives long. With all of the fear in the air (more so than virus) it seems that a large gathering was unfashionably impractical. In this way, it seems more like a Festivus season than a holiday season.

I have some store bought pumpkin pie left. It should be good for 3 more months or so. Better living thru moderm chemistry. :)

I alternate each year between Christmas and Thanksgiving, turkey and ham. I know it has become somewhat traditional to have a turkey on Thanksgiving, but it's not a crime, just a bit of variety. I think, in general, life is better with a bit of variety.

Any-who... I got the tree up yesterday and now I need to get some previously purchased presents properly wrapped and placed under the tree to build the anticipation. Of course, I have some held back for a Christmas Eve Santa visit.

As I said, I'll have turkey for my Christmas spread. There will be apple pie and few leftovers. A local church makes and sells the most awesome frozen pies ready to bake to raise money for the needy. All I have to do is add a layer of cinnamon-sugar to the top.

The only thing I have left to do is my annual Toys for Tots shopping.

God created Christmas for the Marines. URRAH!

No bird got done this year. Oven went kaput.

That is most unfortunate. My condolences. Repair or new?
Personally, I recommend a double oven, it allows me to bake my pie while I bake the turkey and stuffing.

;) :)

My leftovers consisted of half a ribeye steak and baked potato. No way was I going to throw that away.
