Tomorrow is April 15th........TAX DAY.......are you on time
or late w/ filing your returns, folks???????

Just taking a last minute poll!

Have a great day! :D

I sent out my completed returns 2 weeks ago.......on time
as always, for me!

I always have them deduct extra from my paycheck, so I'm motivated to get the filing done early for the big refund.

done forever ago already have the money back.

Mine's filed, about a week and a half ago....should be getting my return back pretty soon...

u did't have an option 4 me. i'm late for the first time ever. had to file an extension.

does anyone know what to do when one can't get a w2 from your former employer...that fucking cocksucker!!

Just did ours on last Firday....................The lastest we have ever filed.................

Did them about two weeks ago and with direct deposit should be getting money back soon.

Shit I didn't get mine done yet! I've got an excuse though....never received my form from school so I could claim tuition. Oh well, I guess I'll be trying to get them done tomorrow afternoon when I have a few hours off.

hate to tell you this, but as far as the irs is concerned, you have no excuse. unless you get an extension, (Don't ask me how,my accountant did it 4 me) you have to have them post marked by midnight.

I am Canadian eh :D I know being late can be a problem if you owe money but I think I might just break even this year with claiming tuition and books.

Keep in mind that an extension will not alleviate penalties for late filing. If you are getting a refund, no big deal. But if you owe, extensions are seldom a good idea.

You don't need to file an extension just because you don't have a W-2.

u r right of coure bob. i should have mentioned tat. i forgot because fortunately, i'm expecting a refund.

You need to find then file form 4868, it's the time extension form.

My mom works at the IRS, you tend to pick bits up here and there.

:D

I did mine 2 weeks ago and should be picking up the money any day now.

You forgot an "I filed early and already spent my refund" option on your poll.

believe it or not

Contact the IRS and explain the problem. If it got reported, they'd have record of it with your social.

Legally they are REQUIRED by federal law to provide you with the info. If they do not comply after you have contacted them with a correct address, THEY will be the ones in trouble, not you.

You should have received it by 1/15 and could have contacted the IRS before now. Don't let that stop you, they will be swampped now that you've waited so long, but they will help you.

I filed an extension this year for the first time. It's a bitch to owe money even when they've already taken out a huge chunk of cash. BUT, at least the extension is filed.

On the other hand, my ex files and shares his return with me (done this past Fri.) so, that'll go towards paying the IRS what I owe.
