In My Wallet I Carry a Card
by Jane Hirshfield

In my wallet I carry a card
which declares I have the power to marry.

In my wallet I carry a card
which declares I may drive.

In my wallet I carry a card
that says to a merchant I may be trusted to pay her.

In my wallet I carry a card
that states I can borrow a book in the town where I live.

In my hand I carry a card.
Its lines declare I am cardless, carless,
stateless, and have no money.

It is buoyant and edgeless.
It names me one of the Order of All Who Will Die.

Good Morning D G O I came to say Hi and wish you a good and perhaps even fun Weekend :)-:rose:

Once you reach a certain point, its the little things. Anyone can feel free to insert a joke now. :)

Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. The things we worried about 10 years ago are insignificant now.

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Emily Dickinson

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!

Stopping in to say Good Morning and wishing you a pleasant Day :):rose:

Good morning!

I told Richard to go home. He was having a hissy fit because some reporter said he was gaining weight.

I had to share this, even though no one reads this thread. A few minutes ago a former student (think 1970s) posted this. I copied and pasted and the response is hilarious.

Today marks 6 weeks without sugar. (I changed running to walking) Walking 5 miles a day, no meat, dairy or flour. The change has been fantastic! I feel great! Zero alcohol! A healthy vegan diet, gluten free, caffeine free, sugar free and a 2 hour workout each day! Lost 15 lbs of fat and gained muscle mass.
I have no idea whose status this is, but I am really proud of them so I decided to copy-paste!
