DGO's New Unthread!

Today I learned that one of my students died in her sleep! That's not supposed to happen to you at 31! She transferred to our magnet school in the 8th grade, with no prior computer experience. It didn't matter because she was eager to learn everything. She had a sweet disposition and everyone liked her immediately. She leaves behind 3 children, her parents and a twin sister.

Yes you could certainly be of service!
Good Morning DGO :rose:
dont think I have to much Time to be of Service, perhaps a Tylenol for your Headache with the Coffee and maybe rub your aching Back a little ;)
Try and have a great Day :)

A hello. A smile. A cup of coffee and a friend is all I need.

That is so sad. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sending Prayers and Angels your way and theirs too. One of my former friends had that happen to her daughter. She's adopted her grandsons and is raising them. It's costing her new marriage in many ways as her partner never wanted kids. They can't agree with how to raise the bits. The partner too strict and she's too lenient. I tried to help where I could with free babysitting but there is only so much I could stomach with the arguing and lack of respect on both sides. So I backed away to deal with my own life.

Sometimes backing out is the only thing you can do. They need to get counseling because the bickering can't be good for the kids. They've already been through too much.

Denny

We belong here. We done got old long ago.

This is not a happy post. It's life.
It's sad that we can no longer say we are still friends with our oldest school mates. The wife, our very good friend, lost her battle with ten years of dementia last weekend. Our friend Don, her husband, still visits but is obviously upset and lost.

We stood up at each other's weddings 58 years ago, watched all the kids grow, learned about sex together, and remained friends to the end. In a few weeks will be our 60th HS reunion. Few remain.
Don said something few others can say "till death do us part." He spent the last few years caring for a vegetable.
We have only one more old couple from our school days. We visit weekly.
Each morning we wake up............. we wonder who's next.
We still live each day as the last and enjoy it. Life is short, shiny toys and money does not help. One friend is worth all the gold in California!

This is not an unthread, it's a new beginning until the end.

I'm so sorry. Yup, losing old friends hurts.

Agreed, just live life the best you can. A new day is not guaranteed.

You made me laugh on the stalking thread.

I remember years ago when you told me that "best seat in the house" thing. I totally understand it and was a little jealous. I don't do much social because it's usually just me alone and after snapping that first Achilles I always think "what if" so I usually just don't go out beyond required stuff. And even then I try to stick to where I know the employees.

The bravest I got was going to the movies alone one new years day a couple of years ago.
