Demon: The Fallen

"I um..yeah..." she glanced over at Enumael, Cervie, and Vald. "Everything is fine...I think."

The room seemed to be spinning, it might've been the stress she was having after all this new information, the strange young girl...old woman, and her apparent lover.

It was too much to understand, a vampire, a werewolf erm...lycan, and a fallen angel. She began to get dizzier and dizzier.

Suddenly, everything went black, Elise had fainted.

"Well, that was unexpected..." The man holding Fran said as he watched Elise fall unconcious.
"Bad William, don't let the nice dolly fall..." Fran chided him, playfully hitting his chest with the flat of her hand. "Oh, very well..." He sighed as he performed an arcane jesture of his free hand, speaking a litany of ancient words of power.

Time rewound several seconds, and Elise stood as the room seemed to be spinning, it might've been the stress she was having after all this new information, the strange young girl...old woman, and her apparent lover.

Before she grew dizzy, the man, William cleared his throat. "Ahem, miss, it might be wise of you to have a seat, you look a bit woozy."

So, that was probably how she ended up in a chair. She couldn't recall. When she woke up, her eyes fluttered and she blushed looking at the faces before her.

"Um.." she stammered, "Sorry? I mean, its alot for a human girl like me to take in all at once..."

She assumed that this was probably what...Enumael wanted to tell her before...

Her thoughts trailed off, unsure of what to say next.

While Elise was unconcious William talked Fran into dispelling whatever it was she had done to the others to keep them from moving. Val and Cervie still seemed to be on edge, but had since returned to their normal selves, or at least as normal as a vampire and lycan could appear.

Enumael, too, had reverted to the way he had been. He looked over to her and said. "I know, my dear, I would have spared you this entire incident... How do you feel?" He asked, concern in his eyes.

Cervie sat with his feet kicked up on the table, a bottle of JD in his hand, already half drank.

Val sat at the head of the table, flexing his jaw impatiently as William confered with him quietly, nodding. "I will find out." He said finally as he rose and went to Fran. "I must use your charm for a moment, my love." He said softly, lovingly as Fran lifted her hair for him to unclasp a silvery skull shaped pendant from about her neck.

He took the necklace and turned to face Elise, giving Enumael a suspicious look. "Elise, I understand how terribly confused you must be right now. It must be a grave shock to you to have so much thrust upon you so quickly, but I must ask you to trust me..." The charm he held dangled from his hand, turning so that she could see the morbid detail of the skull attached to its end. "We mean you no harm, but you must know that this man is a demon..." William added, pointing toward Enumael.

"I know, my dear, I would have spared you this entire incident... How do you feel?"Enumael asked, concern in his eyes.

"I'm fine, I think..." she mumbled.

It had occured to her that Enumael was a demon. Wasn't that what fallen angels were? It was just a nicer way of putting it, sugar coating the word 'demon'. "And he's a vampire, and he's a werewolf? And you two are...." her voice trailed off, unsure of what to call them.

She stared at the morbid charm. "But, okay..what more could shock me...go ahead.."

"Fran is what mortal kind have called a dhampire, she was sired by the weakest of Cain's blood, so she is something of an anomaly, being at once the weakest, yet most feared of her breed. To go into more detail about her would only confuse you, I'm afraid...

And as for me, well, I am a man gifted with the arcane, due to the nature of my parentage, I was born of a mortal man and a fey creature.

Your assumption as to the nature of Valdimer and Cervantes is also correct.

Now, with your permission, I must use this charm to determine weather or not the demon has empregnated you."

Pregnant...with a demon spawn? Her eyes widened and she nodded slowly, glancing over at Enumael. She didn't ask any further questions for at least five minutes before saying, "WAIT! I-if I'm pregnant, is this gonna be like in Twilight, where Bella got pregnant and ended up nearly dying so she had to become a vampire, only it didn't really matter because she wanted to be a vampire anyways, not to say that I want to be a demon..erm, no offense but...I mean..." she stammered after rambling.

When Elise glanced at him, Enumael shook his head. "You are not pregnant, I assure you."

"You'll excuse us if we check for ourselves..." William replied, bringing the charm to bare over Elise's stomach. "If it circles, then you are, if not, what the demon says is true." He explained to Elise.

It was then, in the moments before William read the result of the charm that Elise began rambling about the newest vampire movie in the theaters.

Valdimer and Cervantes gave each other a humored look before Val leaned forward and said. "It would seem the masquerade is in no danger of being discovered by hollywood."

William shook his head, smiling. "No, my dear lady, vampires cannot sire or birth children. A demon, on the other hand can sire a Nephilim at will. But, it would seem, he has not chosen to at this time."

Elise let out a tiny sigh of relief when the result was negative. She didn't know what she would do had she been pregnant with a demon child. "Okay, well...." Elise stood up, "If you guys don't mind...I think I should probably leave. " She didn't glance at Enumael this time, much too afraid to do so.

She looked at Cervie, Vald, Will, and the girl..woman,"It was nice meeting you..." she said politely and started for the door.

Elise could hear Enumael whisper her name even though he remained silent, where he sat, bidding her to stay.

Fran began to cry like a little child, muttering something about broken dollies as William went to console her.

Cervie eyed her like a predator as she made her way to the door.

Val cleared his throat. "Ahem, I am afraid, Elise, that we can't let you leave with the knowledge of our existance. Please, have a seat, there is much to be discussed."

OOC: By the way, which of your avatars is for Elise and Allie, Princess?

Elise paused for a brief second as she heard her name quietly being whispered. There was that guilt she was starting to feel. Ugh, with any other guy she would've walked away and never looked back. Why did he have to effect her differently. It was frustrating as hell!!!

Elise glanced over at Enumael and gave him a silent apology, noticing the sad look on Fran's face and the way Cervie stared at her like...she was his prey or something. She didn't like that.

Just as her hand touched the door knob, she heard Vals voice."Ahem, I am afraid, Elise, that we can't let you leave with the knowledge of our existance. Please, have a seat, there is much to be discussed."

Damn it, just when she had a clear get away. She forced a calm smile on her face. "Uh, don't worry. I wouldn't tell anyone and even if I did, I doubt they'd believe me..." She didn't walk out though. "But..what needs to be discussed."

OOC: Judging by part of my first post, Elise has blonde hair..so its the blonde one.

"This is not at all a simple situation." William interjected, having calmed Fran for the moment.
"You see, we have dealt with Enumael before. He abducted Fran a few years ago, and impregnated her. It was his hope that Fran's uniqueness would enable her to birth his child without dying."

Elise clenched her fists together at the mention of..being impregnated, by a demon...again. "Okay...so what exactly are you saying? Unlike you guys, I don't have the ability to read minds and stuff..." She twirled her blonde hair nervously, hoping they wouldn't decide to kill her.

It was Valdimer that spoke up this time. "We're saying that you have a very hard choice to make..."

William cut in, drawing an annoyed look from Val. "Allow me to explain, in the time that you have known the demon, the two of you have formed a covenent. He has offered you something and you have accepted, giving him access to a part of your immortal soul. He has given you a supernatural gift of some sort, and in return, you have opened yourself up, that he might draw strength from your soul. The more you believe in him, the stronger he will become. Knowing this, how do you feel about him?"

"Covenant..." Elise repeated, she played with her blonde hair. "I don't recall making any sort of a covenant..." she whispered, "and other than sex what exactly did he offer me...because I don't remember accepting anything other than sex."

She bit her lip, would she be thought of as a traitor if she didn't believe in him and...ever since she'd met him, Elise's life had gotten better. She no longer had breast cancer, that was a definate plus. She shrugged at the last question, unable to look at anyone.

William paused, seeming to focus upon Elise for a moment. "Did you know that you had cancer? It would seem that the demon eliminated it from your body. That must be what he gifted you with. Reguardless, it is up to you what we do with him. If you wish to remain with him, then we need to find a way to protect all of our existances from being found out by mortal society. If not... Then we can return you to your normal life without memory of the last several days."

"Oh, yeah...no pressure." Elise muttered quietly. She still didn't raise her eyes to meet anybody else's in the room. "Before I make my decision, I would just like to state that I didn't ask him to get rid of my..." her voice trailed off as she finally looked up at William, then flushing she said, "Not that I'm not thankful for it ...or anything. I just didn't ask for it.

Now they were leaving it up to her. She remembered the night before, the pleasure she got from being with Enumael, how good he made her feel. Although, she was used to just walking away and letting whomever deal with their issues...

But for an odd reason, she didn't feel like that would solve anything in the long run. Besides, she didn't think she wanted to forget him.

"I wouldn't tell anyone, I promise.." she whispered unsure if that meant she wanted to just leave with nothing, not even Enumael or if she was saying that she wanted to stay with him. Finally, she voiced her thoughts.

"What I mean to say is..I want to stay with Enumael." She glanced over at him then looked back at William, "if thats okay."

"You may not have voiced it, but some part of you must have called out to him, otherwise, he would not have been allowed to help you. For as powerful as the fallen may be, they still have to follow set guidelines." William explained, pacing back and forth, like some stodgy brittish professor.

"You'll forgive us if we require a bit more security than merely your word that you will not reveal us, and to that end, seeing as you have decided to stay with the demon... Excuse me, Enumael... We will offer you a place to stay, here in the Deviant. Please, allow me to show you to your room. We will send for your things, so that you may make yourself at home here."

Elise fought back a sigh. They didn't trust her. How rude! Even if she did tell someone about her supernatural encounter, she'd be put in a crazy house or something. No one would ever believe her, to them the closest they'd ever get close to a vampire would be watching a movie or reading a book.

"Alright.." Elise said, glancing at Enumael one last time before following William.

"Don't take it personal, sweet cheeks, its just we've known too many humans, thats all." Cervie offered, giving her an almost flippant salute as William led her to a room. It was well appointed, on par with the more expensive hotels around, hardly what one would expect to find in a 'goth-bar.'

"Please, make yourself at home, we will see to collecting your things and having them brought here." William stated, not even bothering to ask for an address. Elise got the impression that he didn't need to, that somehow, he just knew where she lived. "In the mean time, I would be happy to answer any more questions you might have, or, if you wish, show you around?"

Elise had to fight back a sigh. How were they supposed to get her things if they didn't know where she lived? She didn't think she wanted to know, so she didn't bother asking aloud. She looked around the elegant room, at least she'd be living in a place like this and not some..crummy old apartment.

Her thoughts were broken.

"In the mean time, I would be happy to answer any more questions you might have, or, if you wish, show you around?"

"Um, yeah just one...if I were pregnant..with Enumael's child. What would have...happened?"

"You mean, if you were to actually birth the... Child? You would have died. However, it would seem that the demon never had such a fate in mind for you. His kind, I cannot get a good read on... Perhaps he... Loves you?" William suggested with a slight smile.

"Oh..." Elise blushed furiously and looked down. Enumael...loved her? How flattering while at the same time, slightly....frightening. He was a demon after all and..well, she was nothing but a mere mortal. Not that she wasn't thankful that he didn't possibly love her because if he didn't then...she could be in the process of...dying, again.

William smiled softly as he reached out and patted Elise's shoulder. "It is a rare thing to find love, even rarer, I have found, to find it amidst the world of darkness that we dwell in, my family and I. I think... I think you and Enumael have been welcomed into it..."

William paused as he stared into her eyes. "But perhaps you need some time to yourself, so that you might think through all that has happened to you, how your life has changed so quickly?"

"I uh...thanks." Elise said as she was brought of her thoughts. "For everything..." She sat down on the bed, covering her face with her pillow trying to once again sort out her thoughts. Her current lover was a demon...no fallen angel. She liked that term better, it sounded ....less menacing.

What scared her most was that, after thinking about it, that really didn't scare her. If he had tried to steal her soul, maybe she would've have rushed out of the door screaming. If she had ended up pregnant..she would definately have rushed out of the door screaming.
