Demon: The Fallen

Enumael waited at the bar of the club, standing up and waving as he saw Elise enter the establishment. "Elise! Over here!" He called out as the bar tender set the drinks he had ordered before him, shaking his head and glancing up at what looked like some sort of executive office overlooking the club from the far side and a floor above the bar.

A tall man, pale, with long black hair watched from the office window as Elise made her way toward Enumael.

"Elise..." Enumael began, before stealing a friendly kiss. "I am so very glad that you came. Please, sit with me, I ordered a drink for you, the one you had last time."

Elise smiled at Enumael and sat down, "Thank you.." She paused for a second, "So what did you want to talk to me about?" Dear god, she hoped it wasn't anything bad. Elise had had the perfect day and didn't want anything to ruin it.

"Elise... I am not what you think I am... I think you have suspected from the very start, but have pushed such thoughts from your mind..." Enumael began, taking short sips from his drink as he talked. It seemed like the whole bar suddenly grew quieter, as though they were the only two of importance.

Only, Enumael was interupted in the middle of his 'confession' by a man with longish, wild hair, a rich tan, and distinctly spanish features, who put his hand on Enumael's shoulder. He wore black leather pants and a neat and clean wife beater.

"Hey E, the big guy wants to see you, and your lady here, up in his office." The interupting stranger caught Elise's eye, winked and licked his lips suggestively toward her. "Tell him to wait, I am on a... Date." Enumael said, shrugging the aparant bouncers hand off before returning all his attention back upon Elise. "I apologize for that, apparently I have come here once too often. Reguardless, what I was trying to say was that I am..."

The spanish bouncer suddenly kicked Enumael's bar stool out from under him, and with reflexes far faster than a normal fifty year old man, Enumael caught himself from falling and whirled around to face the bouncer.

The strange thing was that both men's eyes had changed, Enumael's burned bright, like living flames, and the bouncers glowed yellow, like a wild animals. "You're frightening your girlfriend, Enumael..." The bouncer growled, sniffing the air and smirking.

Elise listened closely as Enumael tried to explain to her about something. He wasn't what she thought he was. There was that nagging feeling again, the one she'd felt when she first met him, that he was...different from other guys she'd been with.

Suddenly a bounce came and interrupted them. That didn't seem odd and she easily took his excuse without question. Once again Enamuel tried to continue with what he was saying and suddenly a shriek errupted from her lips as the bouncer hadn't seemed to give up and kicked the chair from beneath Enumael.

That wasn't what caused the shriek. It was the color of their eyes. Enumael's had suddenly changed red. Elise started to back away slowly as fear pumped through her body. "W-who..no what are you?" She whispered.

Enumael clenched his jaw in fury as he stared the bouncer down. "Very well, we shall speak with 'the boss'... If we must..." Enumael conceeded as he drew Elise to his side, trying to sooth her with his touch. "Calm yourself, my dear, I am nothing for you to fear." He whispered in her ear as he led her up a set of stairs, following after the bouncer.

At the top of the stairs, they could see into a lavish office/meeting room. A tall pale man with long brown hair sat at the head of a conference table. A young woman, also with long brown hair which effectively hid her face, sat on the floor next to him with her back to the door. It appeared that she was playing with dolls, quietly acting out a scene between two of them, to herself.

The pale man stood to greet Enumael and Elise as they were ushered in by the bouncer. "Welcome back Enumael, I can't say that its a pleasure to see you again. Do have a seat, we have some... Business to discuss." The man said as he waved Enumael to sit, only to turn his attention upon Elise. "And I trust you are enjoying yourself, miss...?" The man asked as he took hold of Elise's hand, sending a chill through her body.

Elise was still lost in confusion. There were many questions swirling through her head, one she ached to ask but...it didn't seem like right now was the best time to ask. She calmed herself down instantly as she followed...Enumael? She wasn't even sure what his name was anymore.

As soon as they entered the room and Elise slightly tensed up, not only from the fact that she found out that Enumaels name really was Enumael but also when the man touched her. She eyed his hand suspiciously and forced a smile. "Y-yes I am..." she stammered unsure of how to answer exactly.

"Your name, madam, what IS it? You may call me Valdimer, the man behind you is named Cervantes, and the young lady there is named Fran."

Cervantes gave Elise a nod as he looked her over.

Fran picked up a doll with cloth wings and made kissing noises then giggled to herself.

Enumael sat, watching the exchange with mild chagrin.

Elise glanced over at Enumael and then turned her attention to the man before her. Vladmimer.

"It's Elise..." she whispered softly, wanting so bad to either run into the arms of Enumael or just run period.

She lowered her eyes quickly to the ground.

"Elise, do you have any idea what Enumael has dragged you into?" Valdimer asked as he lifted her chin so as to look into her eyes.

Fran moved a furry stuffed animal so that it sat on top of the winged doll as she played with a male and female doll in a suggestive manner.

Enumael leaned forward in his seat, clenching a fist.

Cervantes stepped up behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head.

Elise shook her head, this time unable to look away. "W-what has he dragged me into?" She tried to glance over at Enumael slightly noticing that he was clenching his fists. She bit her lip, nervously scared. Was he some sort of mobster? Did he owe these guys money? Wouldn't that be just like her...to get attached to someone who was poor.

"It is best if you not know Elise." Val said flatly as he patted her on the cheek like she was a child. "As for you, Enumael, I aught to feed you to Cervie in the pit. You know better than to seduce mortals in my bar, this is elysium, and you have violated its sanctity."

"I do not recognize the 'laws' of your kind, leech." Enumael said in a low voice as he began to rise from his seat.

"Now, now, thats not very polite..." Val said as he gave Cervantes a nod, keeping his eyes, which began to glow red, fixed upon Enumael.

Cervantes' hands warped and grew fur as they dug into Enumael's shoulders, forcing him back down into his seat.

Fran looked up at Elise, her long raven locks parting to expose her face. Where her eyes should have been were two empty pits and several scars trailed down her face. She reached out to Elise, silently offering her the female doll she had been playing with.

Elise's eyes widened as she stared at the man, what was his name again? Cervantes? His hand was growing fur, FUR! Elise shivered with fear, now wondering what the fuck Enumael was and how she got caught up in this mess. She nearly didn't notice the young girl beside her hand her the doll.

Elise had to fight back a scream of horror as she noted that the girl didn't have eyes. She did let out a small "eek!" and shakily accepted the doll, wondering to herself if maybe that hadn't been the best idea. What if it turned into some hideous monster?

That would just be her luck, wouldn't it?

"Dolly is scared?" Fran asked softly, reaching out and touching the doll in Elise's hands as though to sooth it. "Don't fret dolly, father is dead."

"Do not force my hand, leech." Enumael hissed at Val.

Val turned away, yawning mockingly. "This is how it will go, the woman will stay in my charge, and you... You walk out of here, with a severe limp if need be."

She didn't know what to do, the strange girl was talking to the doll as if it were alive, then Val seemed to be approached Enumael and then suddenly her perfect world seemed to crash at the words...

"This is how it will go, the woman will stay in my charge, and you... You walk out of here, with a severe limp if need be."

Her eyes widened and she dropped the doll out of shock. Her head turned to look at Enumael with a desperate, pleading look.

"MMM! No, dolly, no..." Fran mewled like a child, picking up the doll and pushing it back into Elise's hands. "Mustn't be a bad dolly! Bad dolly's don't get to see." She added, touching her own face.

Cervantes continued to hold Enumael down in his seat while looking up at Elise, his jaw elongating into a snout and forming sharp canines.

Valdimer strode over to a cabinet and opened it to reveal a collection of melee weapons. He retrieved a heavy sword, which aught to have required two hands to swing, but he seemed to wield it with but one.

He approached Enumael with a casual ease. "Well, little birdy, arn't you going to spread your wings?"

Enumael looked over at Elise, his eyes expressing sorrowful torment.

A second later it appeared as though he exploded in a cloud of black ash, throwing both Val and Cervie away from him as well as showering the lot of them in its clinging darkness.

A moment later, where the man, Norman had been sitting, there was an unearthly creature, seemingly made of roiling darkness, with motes of ash grey light swimming through its form. The darkness it was made of swam up and away from its vaguely humanoid form in the semblance of wings. A blade made of the same ash grey light that swam through its body formed in its hand as both Valdimer and Cervantes got back to their feet.

"I have a covenent with the woman, you cannot take her from me." The creature spoke in a voice just as roiling and unearthly as its form.

Cervantes, now a hulking beast of a man, launched himself at Enumael, only to be cast aside and into the far wall, using his own momentum against him.

Valdimer swung his sword, clashing blades with Enumael. The metal blade super heated and melted away under the heat of Enumael's blade, the heat causing Val to drop the remaining hilt.

Fran shot to her feet and shouted "STOP!" in a strong voice. Everyone froze, including Enumael. "Dolly wants some answers... Don't you dolly?" Fran asked of Elise, instantly returning to her innocent, child like voice.

It took Elise a moment to realize that the creepy little girl wasn't talking to the doll but to her. She bit her lip, trying to repress the scream that was threatening to come out as she watched...Norman or Enumael or whomever he was turn into a dark looking creature.

"I..." She bit her lip fearfully, unsure of what to say. How exactly did one respond to such events. "Yes, please..." she whispered, averting her eyes so that she wasn't staring at the two creatures.

"Well then, what do you want to know?" Cervantes asked, giving her a dangerous smirk as he reverted to his human guise.

"Elise... I... I am sorry, I never wanted things to happen this way..." Enumael sighed in his unearthly voice.

Valdimer just shook his head and chuckled to himself, as though the scene were some private joke.

Elise bit her lip again as she glanced over at the beast who was formally known as Norman. "I...." she stammered, clutching the doll even closer to her.

"I suppose I should start with the most important question, huh?" She didn't wait for a confirmation. "What exactly are you? All of you..." Her gaze floated over to Enumael then to Cervantes and lastly, Valdimer.

As if each of them were compelled to answer, they spoke the moment Elise's eyes fell upon them.

First Enumael lowered his head. "I am a Fallen Angel, escaped from the silent abyss..."

Then Cervie spoke. "Lycanthrope, a child of Gaia."

Finally Valdimer answered "I am a vampire, one of the many children of the first murderer, Cain."

Elise still clutched the doll tightly to her. A fallen angel, that meant demon. A lycanthrope, that was a werewolf wasn't it? And a vampire..Elise bit her lip, "Um, okay thats all I can think of to ask now..." she managed to say in a tiny voice.

How did she get herself into this mess? She didn't know, well she did know but she didn't want to admit to herself that it was actually her fault for looking for an...unboring guy to be with.

Fran giggled just as Elise thought it was her fault for not wanting a boring man, as though she had read her mind.

"Does dolly want to stay for tea?" Fran asked, offering her hand to Elise.

"Um, Fran... Mind releasing us now?" Valdimer asked, only thinly veiling the annoyance in his voice.

"No, bad boys don't get tea." Fran said, matter of factly.

Elise stared back down at the little girl as she giggled, ironically at the same time she'd thought about her boring life before "Norman". "Um, yeah sure tea sounds good..." she said then suppressed a giggle as the little girl, Fran told Valdimer that they didn't get tea.

"What kind of tea?" She asked with a smile, ignoring the males prescence now. "And how old are you?"

"I drink red tea, daddy says its good for me, and it's soothing." Fran said as she took Elise by then hand and sat her at the conference table. "But its not for you, you get normal tea. Any flavor you want, other than red."

Fran turned to face Elise with her empty eye sockets and gave her a quizical look, as though she didn't quite understand Elise's question reguarding her age. "That depends, daddy told me I quit aging years ago..." As she said this, Fran leaned toward Elise, and for all intents and purposes, she looked as though she couldn't be any older than her early twenties.

Taking on a secritive, whispery voice, Fran said. "And even though daddy told me not to, I kept count anyway. I think I am fifty years old now. But don't let him know I told you that, cause he doesn't know that I know."

Wow, fifty. That was certainly old. She thought and wait daddy? She frowned in confusion as she stared at the girl. She did look younger then she was, that was certain. "Um, who's your daddy?" She asked, the look of confusion still plastered on her face.

"And I promise, I won't tell anyone..." Elise whispered with a gentle smile.

"Well... My real real dad, he died... And my real dad, he died too, but my dad is right over there." Fran said with a slight giggle as she pointed at Valdimer. Just then, a man who looked somewhat similar to Valdimer entered the room. "Fran... What IS going on here? I felt the vibrations from my private sanctum below." The man asked, as he gracefully strode to her side, finally fixing his eyes upon Elise. "Ah, guests..." He said softly as fran pressed herself into his arms.

"An angel came to dance on the head of our pin." Fran giggled, pointing toward Enumael. "Without daddy's permission, So I put them in time out, like a good mommy."

"Yes, very good, very good, my love." The man whispered, hinting toward a romantic relationship with the girl. Finally, he addressed Elise. "Is everything okay, young lady?"
