By whiteness he means they want people with white skin to be the ones to have all power even at the cost of democracy. There were definitely people there who thought like that, there was one guy wearing an Auschwitz hoodie.
As an aside The 'many' part is actually really important for his phrasing and turns his statement from bad to actually something with a fair point.
The problem with dismissing them as 'all' is that it's just not true. There were black people in that protest, even a black person who broke into congress, there were also tons of Hispanic people, and many of the white people there weren't there due to 'whiteness' but because they genuinely believe trumps lies those ones were the brain washed cultists and would do what they did with skin tone set aside.
I've seen statements similar to this but they paint the entire thing with the same dismissive 'all' brush, usually people making broad statements who are just inflaming the problem.
Clyburn is a decent rep that his constituents like btw and possibly the reason that America was saved from trump considering that he was the biggest turning point of Biden's primary run. Clyburn picked and supported Biden and knowing what we know now it is clear that no other dem running in that primary could have beaten trump.
America owes clyburn a hell of a lot for that, seeing what happened on the 6th it is clear that trump was taking america down a really awful and dangerous path
