I don't think it's one or the other, Cathleen. You have to let go of whatever is inside you that is blocking complete trust. At the same time, you have to give in to the sweet tension between fear and trust before you will find the unencumbered love that GG so eloquently described.

This is a very good point. Love is not a rational entity. You cannot control it and efforts to do so will destroy it.

Besides, isn't half the joy of loving someone about not having control of it?

I do understand the more control you think you have the less you actually do have - but ....... damn I'm too analytical and want answers!!

So if you have to unblock trust, does trust become earned or given? I know it's a combination of both .......... you know I give on this one today.

I dont know if love has an explaination..it just is ..you feel it...everyone in different ways..and when you are open for new beginnings..love happens...I think alot of people get trapped in lust and on line its very easy to get caught up in that for sure..I think we all have been there before...but love is something that defies explaination....it is ..there ..ok i am losing my train of thought as hard as a Rock is pming me...LOL...
