I'm thinking about having a contest in my room this year called Battle of the Books to encourage the kids in my class to read. The more your 12 year old sees you read the more inclined they will be to read. Delve into a good book. I just picked one up from the library and plan to spend my evening with it!

I guess everything comes with time, and for all at their own pace. I'm working on it though. I'm glad that you have some distractions this weekend. I know this is a difficult time for you and you're in my thoughts and prayers. It's important that he knows exactly how you feel. I too, most times, blow up and then apologize. But in this case you have NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR, so don't. You need to do what you need to do for you and your son. Like I said before, it's his loss. You are a beautiful person inside and out from what I have seen and read.
