My own personal example of patience is this ....

The man I am currently 'in love' with is in Prison and doesnt know when his actual release date is for sure altho we are hoping for October...

He has to show overwhelming amounts of 'patience' due to his environment alone...he listens to my letters and phone calls with open ears and an open heart when all I do sometimes is Complain about my stressful day even..

I am able to 'Unload ,or Vent if you will all of my 'frustrations onto him when indeed he is feeling 'frustrations Of his own,he misses his Freedom ,he wants to be able to see and TOUCH me....he longs for companionship ,etc ...

I feel that James ,IS 1 Of the Most patient men I have ever met, however I also feel that getting in touch with his spiritual side has had ALOT to do with that....I know that as a parent I have come to find out that having patience is very rewarding indeed..

they say in the Bible ..'love is patient ,Love is kind ..etc ...I feel True love can withstand the pressures of Distance apart amongst other things ...OURS has ...

Dream, this is quite a story. I wish you the best as a couple and will hope that your October dream comes true.

this is a REAL heartfelt one and Quite possibly the only REAL time I have ever been In love...I have come to find out that there is quite a thin line between love , Lust , and Lonliness....

Two variables are at work here: changes in the nature of the love itself and changes in the two partners (make that three variables).

yes that's true Cate But the essence of it is still there ..the main basis remains the same...Love that's real Never dies..

Ok my few cents worth on real love.......

Real Love to me is between two souls and I believe love's highest form it is a best and deepest friendship based upon unselfish caring for another. Real Love is mental and physically encompassing.Real Love is not always easy. Nor should it be, as real love is a thing of utmost value. Real Love though unconditional between those who share it , is not free in the casual sense.
Though it cannot be bought and sold at any price, it must be earned through the way in which we live our lives and treat others.
In a rudimentary sense its Karmic....although its really more than that.
Because real love between 2 souls is so rare, yet so incredibly beautiful a thing to find..many of us search far and wide, often in the wrong places, often recklessly...Just for a glimmer of light, a sign. And when we don't find it immediately, or get hurt as a result of the relationships which, through hurtand loss are meant actually to teach us how to better recognize real love, we sometimes sell out and find some way to ease the pain of loneliness, if only temporarily. Sometimes we even give up the search entirely and convince ourselves such a love does not exist
But i for one KNOW it does....

ALSO...yank did you happen to catch whos in FIRST place????

DLL, as usual, you made some valid points here.

I particularly liked your point that real love's highest form is a deep friendship. People underestimate the depth of real friendship and often fail to see that it is an integral part of a good loving relationship.
