Here's hoping the Zovirax does its job - I am prone to cold sores at times of stress/menstruation/lack of sleep/plus other triggers I am not aware of, and I know how annoying and painful they can be

Mine split open today while I was sleeping. I woke up with a bloody face. That was terrifying and fun. I nearly peed myself in horror until I realized what happened.
Now I can't wear lip gloss, kiss my cats or make out with Sir. I hate my ex for giving it to me. Kissing all those strippers is probably why he had it. Grrrrr. I'm angry.

I have been getting them on and off for years, I remember my brother when he was little having them all over his mouth. I had a bad outbreak a couple of years ago, I had sores inside my nose as well as all over my mouth. It was so sore I went to the doctor because the Zovirax didn't seem to be working and was drying out my lips badly. He gave me an antibiotic cream to use with the Zovirax - it's oily and smooth so keeps things from cracking up. I use both now at the first sign of a sore and they heal in 4-5 days.
I've had none now for a couple of months *fingers crossed* Hope you heal soon!

Well, the scabby outer part peeled off today when I was eating an apple. That was disgusting. I looked down and had a bloody apple.
Poor Sir keeps trying to kiss me and I back away like he's a Vampire, sign of the cross and all.
He's sleeping in the bed behind me right now. I feel so bad for him. I know he had the virus, too, before he met me but due to some really extensive facial reconstruction he had done when he was younger, he's got a lot of internal scarring that seems to make him impervious to cold sores.
I need a glass of wine, a Vicoden and some chocolate.

As much as I would love to allow us to further our eduction, sometimes I believe it's wise to test your abilities like concentration and focus by making you crave foods from fast food restaurants all the way across town (that don't have delivery), making you randomly and impossibly horny out of the blue, and giving you panic attacks and mild seizures just as you were about to have a breakthrough in researching material.
