"Bunker, Chaingun. Come in Bunker, this is Chaingun...I need a four person Zombie Response Squad on standby. If the Bradley Fighting Vehicle is ready, prepare to board and head out. You'll need armor and shotguns... and restraints. I'll call if I need you. There's a .... *unintelligible*... Make sure that thing is fueled and provisioned for a couple days.

That is all. Chaingun out."

*Alarm sounds through the bunker as the comman relays the message* God damn it! Was just about to get some cuddling. I hoped. Well, that's my cue... *Som lopes to his quarters, getting into his gear as quickly as you can get into full plate armor. Hes had practice though and is one of the first out to check on their ride.*.*

Hm...Head South, listen for gun fire and screams I suppose. Hey, we got air support too! Somebody get Micky fitted with a headset, and have him fly south fast as we can. We gotta get CG outta there! *Som has the Bradley up and purring, waiting for the others to appear, his call going out over the speaker right after CG's. When a few others finally appear the Bradly peels rubber from his leadfoot, well, steel foot, moving south thinking thank god they built these for big men.*
 
As the Response Squad moves out, not sure of the direction to go other than south, a massive explosion complete with fireball is seen roughly five miles south. The flames light up the sky and the noise reaches the ears of those inside the Bradley Fighting Vehicle a few seconds later.

A eery glow lights the sky to the south; something large is on fire.

Perhaps several large somethings?


The secure channel in the Bradley crackles...

"Hey, it's me. I'm fine. Well, as good as can be expected if you saw that. I guess all those people that thought I had an unnatural fascination with fire and explosions before the world went to shit have been vindicated...

Too bad they're all walking around moaning and looking to chew on others.

So, uh, I've got a sit-rep. The danger is passed. I'm bringing in some prisoners...and some guests. Why don't you return to base and get back to the party? I'll be fine. I'm sure we'll be back soon. Prepare for three new living, breathing humans...and two not so living. I'll explain later."
 
Damn, I just managed to get out of the Bradley, which is in tip top shape if you noticed, before you all took of in it... ;)

Flames continue to burn to the south; whatever it was, it was highly flammable. And unfortunately most likely a giant beacon for any wandering undead in the area. With any luck, it will attract them more than the trip I am making back to the bunker with my new "friends".

Return to the party, my friends. I'll be home soon.

Just don't pop off any rounds to the south until you see that we are safe inside again. I understand that those things have quite a range.

All excellent additions to our assets. Large weapons, a well organized armory, and a hot nekkid chick in a field with some firearms.

I hope more people post pics of the things that they find on the forage missions that we can add to the bunker to make our new life more comfortable.
