I think most people decide their sexuality for themselves these days. I know it's a nice thought, that you can put two women and a bottle of chardonnay in the same room and eventually they'll fuck, but I'm not certain it works that way. I know it doesn't work with men. Sadly. Wasted a lot of money on chardonnay before I came to that realisation.

It's not unusual for somebody to take more than a year to get back into dating after a divorce. Give her the time to get over things at her own pace.

That's kind of creepy. I got divorced in March. Although I am talking to people here, have the hots for one local guy in real life and have another in real life who seems to have a thing for me, I don't really want to date now. And nothing could happen that would ever tempt me to be with a woman. I do have lesbian friends. They're just friends. Nothing more. I like men. Always have.
I see a lot of people who jump from relationship to relationship. They seem to have the need for a partner at all times, even if it's not a good relationship. I see people going out on one date and referring to that person as a BF or GF. This is something I just don't get.
For me to be in a good relationship, I have to be whole and full of self love. That's just how I feel about things. I believe that being unhappily married for 22 years and getting divorced has left me somewhat damaged. I do think in my case, the damage has been less than perhaps what has happened to some others. I have always tried to work on me! But just the stress and the ugliness of the divorce has taken its toll.
I am getting there but I think I still need a little more time before I jump into any kind of relationship even if it's only sexual nature. I want to give the other person my all and I can't do that until I feel that I am whole again.

She has a date for tonight. But, the other night we went out for drinks, and she was chatting with the barmaid for quite awhile. When she came back to our booth, she commented how nice she was, even tho I know she likes women too. And then smiled as she looked into space. Ok, enough said.
