Daddy's Little Girl: Second Edition

As in I have some experience with a Little in the past. I had always considered myself a dominant before, but in the short period we were together there were certainly more Daddy elements to it. I enjoyed these very much, though I am unsure as to whether that was down to the other party, or whether this is my "calling"

makes sense. It is a process, of exploring and awakening to ones true desires. Each relationship also has its own dynamic, lgs have their own, diverse needs and ways in which they define what that means for them and what they need from a DD...

Good Morning!!
Still stringing days together ... and enjoying friendships made.
Thank you all for having my back ... and each others!!! ... when it is needed. This is a lovely community, for sure

Hi! And welcome! 😇

SadieAnne here too! everyone showed up on this page :)

Welcome Chewbacca. Glad you found your way here. LostYonder is right about this stuff being a process and each relationship being different.
Hang around - there are good folks here on both sides of the slash and opportunities to learn stuff in the context of a supportive community.

I've been wondering, so much attention on the DD/lg relationship is focused on the being: being safe, being wanted, being comfortable. But what about becoming - what are the best ways for a DD to foster and enable, to mentor and guide a lg into growing and transforming herself?

Though I am not involved with a lg now, in my previous relationship there was a significant age difference that also allowed for a more natural sense of supporting and guiding her personal growth, her education, her career path, etc. I know that is not as normal, yet we are all always in phases of growth (ideally at least :) )

For lgs, what do you find most effective from your DD for your becoming something more, of transforming, of changing some of your more negative behavior patterns, of 're-tooling' yourself to be better? And not just a better lg, but in advancing your career, or improving your lifestyle, or other interpersonal relationships...

And of course, finding time for pillow fights too! :)

Thanks for this query Lost Yonder. I think its an important conversation.
It seems to me that just as in a vanilla relationship, if both parties are not able to grow and become the people they want to be, the relationship should be reevaluated.

I count on my DD to know and understand what my goals are for myself and to be supportive of my working toward attaining them. More than that, checking in with me to see if he can help me stay on track and ensure that there is nothing in our interactions that might sabotage those goals. Likewise, I see it as part of my responsibility to him to make sure I am tracking on his goals too. Supporting, cheering, and not being a distraction or complication that would undermine his ability to achieve his goals.

Idk does that get at your question?

Thanks for sharing cb. I like how you add that you are also his support, cheering him on and not being a negative distraction - littles are always distracting, but usually in a good way! ;) In too many "normal" relationships either competition or judgment come to define their interactions, goals and desires are curbed and suppressed for various reasons. To be able to share and support in unique ways is so important and I find that in DD/lg relationships that should be the foundation on which they dance together through life; it is predicated on support.

Knowing though when another is actually undermining our efforts, limiting our abilities, clipping our wings can be tough though...
