I was. Short bad night, active morning and social afternoon and evening, even making decisions about a trip.
Also, melatonin was working and I had been tucked in... A good combination for falling asleep.

He's not necessarily looking for an argument, but realized that not everyone is going to agree, I think?? ...

There are so many questions to discuss, which can have varying views. When and how should you ask for consent, what about confirming it later. Can you ever assume consent and if, when and how what about the gray area around new things, and soft limits too. And some even like cnc...
