nothin' wrong with bein' a game geek!

and yes, the MUD is text-based, so for those are are into the details of roleplay games, it's a very comfortable medium, once you get acclimated to the pace. But sadly, it's slowly giving way to the continual torrent of new graphic games, but we still have our loyal players. Think chat room with game elements. :D

You can be anything from a cave man to Capt. Kirk.

yes, BB and we know how much you like your Capt. Kirk ;)

AD&D (3 ed) & Xcrawl here =)

An ex-D&D guy here...

I used to play AD&D (2nd ed.) quite a bit - then real life decided to throw some curves :(

Haven't played in more than a year, but I'll have to get back to it someday...

who about D. since I have and still play D&D/AD&D as well as a few other RPGs. :D

D&D, AD&D, Shadowrun, Twilight 2000 and Mechwarrior (the rpg).

Ahhh its good to be a geek at times :)

Gamer for 20+ years! Started with AD&D back in the days when the books came in a boxed set with the dice that had to be colored in.

Nowadays, it's GURPS, and has been pretty much GURPS exclusively since the late 1980's.

Played them all. Lost my group when I moved to Chicago.

We had collectively been involved in two 3rd ed campaigns(NOTE: the 3ed rules are great and really easy to introduce new gamers to the idea of role playing), a Star Wars campaign, lots of computer gaming including Everquest, DAoC, and others, a revised version of Shadowrun we had created under the D20 rules system, some magic the gathering on the side when some players were running late, lots of cheese brats on the grill, lots of BW3 chicken wings, lots of good times.

I wouldn't trade my 20+ years of gaming for anything. I don't think the enjoyment, creative workouts, and educational value could be summed up in any concise manner.

I miss those times...and especially those friends.

Ah and my entire college life was filled with hours of Mudding...specifically on a Mud named Medievia which I still think it the nicest bit of programing I've seen.
