I've had several bladder infections in my lifetime and no, masturbating won't affect the infection one way or the other. Personally, I usually find that I'm in way too much pain to even think about trying that, but then I usually get a full-on UTI which, as I'm sure you know, means that the urethra is infected as well which makes activity in that area very, very painful.

Just make sure that when you masturbate, you have washed your hands with antibacterial soap and, just to be on the safe side, I would suggest urinating before and after -- just as with sex. This way, you don't perpetuate the infection by introducing new or more bacteria to the area. Of course, you could always leave your underwear on and use a vibrator or your fingers to stimulate the clit without actually touching the area . . . that's a pretty safe bet as well.

Yeah, sometimes those bladder infections can be tricky that way. Sometimes you'll have a fever, blood in the urine, the whole works. Other times, you won't even know something's wrong save for a standard UA.
