Almost in everyone's life, they come upon a crossroad.

A time to step up to the plate and make serious decision. A final resolution.

How to you decide what road to take?

Do you stay where you are, comfortably numb?

Do you proceed ahead with caution into the unknown?

Or do you take a safer route off to the side, where the change is slow and steady?

This happened to me within the last year. "Comfortably numb" I like that comment. I was that until I realized I was at the crossroads. When that happened I had to make a decision. I moved ahead, completely cautious but definitely looking forward to the unknown. I'm quite happy with that choice. Change is inevitable. If you are at a crossroads, look carefully at the directions you can take. Also look back at what may have brought you to this point. More often than not when retracing your steps you may find a spot where you tripped up...sometimes that will help wih your decision.

Personally I did a lot of soul searching and meditation. What works for one though may not for another.

hard

when i hit my crossroads i decided to open my own business and 7 years later i am retired:D

I think I just stopped, built a house, planted a garden and stayed right there.

You think Caly would date me? I've always had a thing for her, you know.

edited to fix a spelling thingy

I've been sitting in the road for three years, trying to think of all the possible things that could be down those roads.

Numb, scared and still. That's where I am.

I could stand and hestitate trying to second guess which way to turn... last crossroads I was at... I said to hell with it and raced along one of the paths... still waiting to see if it was the right one.

To push the metaphor a ways -

Don't sit at the crossroads, you can get hit from any direction and flattened. Pick a direction and go, eyes wide open. If it turns out to be a bust, turn at the next corner.

I have been accused of not looking before I leap. Sometimes that is very bad. In my current situation, it turned out better than I could have hoped. Move it or lose it!

Thanks Morgy.

I'm taken. I can barely handle the one I'm with. ;)

Maybe if you move through the crossroads, you'll find a friendly face on the other side...............

i sorry. :(

Write a pro's and con's list.... then go with the best odds....

I like the retracing your steps that someone mentioned...

Crossroads happen to all of us honey, just take your time if the traffic is busy. :rose:
