that is deep for someone from Essex... did God create Pit Bulls? :D

what about the big fecal matter pile ?

despite Brentwood's tv-popularity, it's only one very small, very orange part of essex, oh furry-footed one.

most of the mutts being labeled 'pit bull type' are really short-legged, bandy, flip-top headed grinning softy staffs. do you suppose dog's believe in Dog? does he/it support the underdog?

See.. you imeadiatley thought by "pitbull' i was meaning 'vicious dog often owned by pykies" I actually meant the white stilletoe heeld haridens of Colchester.

is this the papist view?

is that a typo for usa

Today I am feeling rather arian in my religious fervor, definitely not the papist view.

I had to hit 'back' to catch your typo, you edited between my click on quote and the time the window opened. I wanted the typo more than I wanted the joke to work.

ah, you seem rather more conversant with those than i. 'appy memories, hobs?

woof!

I voted God did it, because I like to hedge my bets and since I repented in a codicil, I felt I should at least honour God for a while.

I mean, if he did it - then I'm safe and If I'm right and he didn't - I'm still safe. Belief is a win-win situation providing you've notarized and stored your letter of repentance carefully.

Holy shit.

You're right.

Ah yes Pascal, but which god?

I voted "other"

There may be some creative force I can't fathom that put things into motion.

What's left now doesn't match any definition of "intelligence" I can apply.

Creationism is not science, it is an opinion.

I keep seeing these polls that say something like 45% believe in the literal Bible account of creation yet I've never met a single person who believes this way. Not one. Who are they asking?
I don't think I've ever met anyone who believes the Bible should be taken literally even from the New Testament because it's, you know not supposed to be.
I think they either intentionally ask a certain group of people or they phrase the questions in a manner that causes confusion. No way is the number really that high.

Do you visit many towns under 1,000 population?

I know people who think the Bible is infallible and historical correct and that dinosaurs never existed. Talk about being Gawdsmacked.

See, I know plenty who think it is infallible and plenty who believe it is historically correct. Neither of those means you have to take it literally. I don't know anyone who believes the universe was created in six 24hr days. I know those people are out there but I dispute poll numbers I've seen because they suggest half the people I know are like that and that is not true.
People who don't believe in dinosaurs are just stupid.

I think it goes something like this: the question is, 'Do you believe the Biblical account of creation is the correct one?' People have a choice between putting in writing that they don't believe it, in full view of an omnipotent being who controls their afterlife, or just saying yes where no one they know can see it. Answer: A) Yes!
