Since this is the place you can ask anything I am going totally off topic. Anyone know of a place in MA or RI that does really good tattoo cover-up work. I have stopped into 2 or 3 now and not only have they been a little useless as far as help they said "oh you can cover it with anything" which I know isn't the case. I am trying to cover a small butterfly on my boob that looks like a dead horse fly.. dark thick black lines, barely any color, smudged looking.. it's gross..

From what I have heard the only option aside from having it removed is to get a new tattoo over it. based on your description of the one you have though you will have to find a very good tattoo artist, which more or less means you have to pay more.

Oddly enough, apparently the sleazier the tattoo parlor looks the better they are at it.

Ok, actually what you want is a parlor with alot of pictures of tattoo's on people, those are the good ones, the bad artists only have the base design on a white background, avoid them like the plague. ;)

Also, spend alot of time looking at the pictures, find the best looking one and ask for that artist, if he isn't there find the next best and ask for that one, if he isn't in, come back when one is.

I know seems like I'm saying take a month to get the tattoo fixed, but based off what I have heard that is the only way to do it if you want high quality tattoo work. Also, run through all of the ones in the yellow pages and go to each and every one until you find one that has what I said above. If you don't have one in your city or town, go to the next and so forth.

I hope you find the right artist tomorrow. :cathappy:

Ooh Ooh!! Something I am good at!! Well asides being really obnoxious!

Covering up a tattoo is pretty pointless, the best option would be to see if it's possible to incorperate into another tattoo. If you don't mind posting a picture, I can see what I can sketch up for you? Plus i've heard laser treatment is VERY painful...scratching (Useing a blade to remove the ink) isn't much fun either.

The other advise is make sure it goes with the color scheme and have it done in stages to make sure any bleeding/fading can be fixed so it doesn't bring it out more.
