Trying this out. I'm an amateur photographeur, I really like B&W shots. I take my shots and I'm the subject in the shots as well. It's an artistic release for me. A bit abstract at times, I like playing with shadows, lights and lines... Sometimes erotic sometimes not, truly depends on the idea I'm trying to put on paper - so to speak.

I can tell this thread will end up being a favorite. You're already off to a great start. Wonderful photos of a beautiful subject. I like to try and use light in certain ways if I can too.

I've recently bought the Nikon Z50 with a sigma 105mm macro lens but the latter is mostly for my nature photography. The previous three photos were taken solely from an old macbook cam. I always think the tool doesn't matter as long as you have a good eye and good grasp of how photography works. The sky is really the limit.

I see that you don't have PM set up. Here is a source for photo equipment. If these folks don't have it, either you don't need it or it doesn't exist.

Your post inspired me to reach back into my photography degree and create a cyanotype-like image.

I wonder if you've considered treatments that look like alternative (non-gelatin silver) processes. Palladium, tinotype, cyanotype, etc.

Geeking out a bit, I know. Like I said, a bit inspiring.

Beautiful shots! I agree with you on the b&w -- there's an erotic starkness to it that color can't replicate. And the use of light and shadows to emphasize or de-emphasize can be quite effective. I should also say that your exceptional body can enhance any mode of photo! I'd love to see more of your creative works.

I'm glad you were inspired in such a way ! It's always fun to sharpen's one mind with photography techniques and exploration. I'm not familiar with any of the processes you've mentionned above, as I only have literature background and well, personal experience in photography to fall on. I'll take a look in what you've mentionned, maybe I'll get inspired as well !

I've worked on a deer skull paper mask and it has a lot of potential. I'd love to take it outside but the -17C + wind factor has put a pause on that thought for now.

The colour photo is a rare attempt on my behalf.

Mine is actual duct tape. I ripped it off quickly because it was stuck on quite well. I think I would do this again just for that sensation.

I might try black bars instead of crosses. Thoughts?

The model is quite lovely to work with... She knows exactly what I'm looking for. Though this latest shot test was photo bombed by a cat. And it's quite possibly my favourite.
