Conversation

Sometimes we get a little lost, a little confused, a little unfocused and a little down. It is in these time that we look. We look for those that we can confide in, that we can just talk to. But is is also these times that we feel there is no-one will be responsive to what we are looking for. These times, more than any other, we can not give up hope. There are so many people out there just looking for a conversation. Keep going, keep trying, keep you hopes alive. There are so many good people out there.

Don't be afraid to share your life with someone. We all need another person to talk to at some point and if you are nervous or afraid to share yourself you will have to stay locked in your own mind. Reach out and say hello to someone new today.

Sometimes it is hard to find a way to start a conversation with someone you have never talked to before. You search for the right words and then think they are the wrong ones. We over think this far to often. We need to just let our words flow, be honest, be real and see what happens. We need to stop worrying about someone not being receptive to what we say and just move on when we need to. Be true to yourself and stop holding yourself back.

Hi there. How are you this Sunday morning?

So true. Subscribing to this lovely thread. Hope you are having a good day.

It is good to see both of you :)

I am doing well, working on lots of things and staying busy. Thank you.

It is good to see and talk to people, learn about others. When we talk to other people we open an avenue that allows us to learn more about ourselves as well.

I’m about to get up and try to accomplish a few minutes of cleaning up before getting dressed. It’s really messy here, but your positivity is inspiring.

Thank you :) I think that a bit of positive thinking and some encouraging words are always helpful. We get to critical of ourselves and that is not a good thing. We wonder around and bring ourselves into a dark place and forget we can pull ourselves out of it. It is amazing how an act of kindness, from us or that benefits us, or a few words can bring that smile back.

Sometimes we just have rough days, days that we are down and find ourselves just scrolling through forums and clicking on links. Lost and not really sure what we are doing. When we have these type of days the last thing we want to do is attempt to have a conversation with someone new. The fear of getting no response is higher and if we don't get a response it can make the day worse. It is days like this that we should actually try to send a few hello's. Even without a response, writing the message can help clear the mind and lift our spirits. And if we are lucky enough to get a response, even better. Be kind, be courteous and be real.

For some people sending a message to someone new is absolutely nerve wrecking. They question every word they type and worry about how their words will be taken. They get overworked worrying about their grammar, the context and in choosing the right words. It is something that they fight to overcome and when they do it it is a good feeling that comes to them. But... after it is sent those concerns and worries come back and added onto those is the worry that there will be no reply at all.

Think of these things when you receive a message. Although it may seem like an odd thing to do, the receiver thinking of the words rather then the sender, but it is important to remember people get anxiety over meeting new people.

Get yourself out there, say hello to someone.

A simple act of kindness can go a long way. Simply opening the door for someone or letting someone out in traffic can turn a rough day into a good day for someone. With that simple act they may return that favor to another and so on. A snowball effect of kindness, each granting another person a smile and improving their day just a little bit. Share a smile, open a door, show some kindness, it will come back to you.

It is always good to see you here :) Sometimes you have to force yourself to be nice to someone. It could be that they are usually not very nice or because you are having a rough day. Being nice is just another way of spreading kindness. Some get it and some don't, but it is always good to try.

Just jumping on to share one of my favorite sayings, "live, Laugh, Love"

Many times the fear of rejection prevents us from meeting new people. We get caught up in playing out how the meeting will go wrong for us and our hesitation to start a conversation grows. We move through our meeting in our minds and convince ourselves that moving forward would only end badly so we don't start a conversation and simply walk away. We need to work our we through such thoughts. Yes, statistically most interactions will not last long, but we can not let that hold us back from moving forward. Statistics are just numbers and people are not. Keep your head up, keep your confidence, keep your hopes up and say hello to someone new today.

I'm really enjoying your thread. I'm so nervous of talking to other women here more than anything lol. Recently someone messaged me and has been there for me as a friend over the last few days. It serious means the world to me that a total stranger reached out because they could tell I needed help. I know sending a message like that takes effort, and it is so much appreciated on my end, and I will definitely one day do the same for someone else.
