I confess that tonight I had phone calls with four people that I care very much about. That makes me happy.

I also confess that despite getting a perfect score on my entrance counseling quiz for my student loans, I'm still not sure I understand the intricacies of the financial aid system...

I confess that the little, struggling bit of Christmas Spirit I was cultivating this year gave up the ghost and kicked the bucket today. Looking at the half done decorations is making me feel ill, and I'm not at all pleased that there's another 2 weeks of acting merry for the benefit of the customers at work...

That said, for those of you who have managed to keep up the spirit, please have a wonderful holiday, and that is said without the slightest hint of sarcasm- I genuinely mean it. I, on the other hand, will be sitting next to a dark tree until this thing blows over and stops making me feel worse than I already do...

I confess, I'd like to send you a virtual hug to help you get through this difficult time.
I know a few people that have it tough over the holidays and I try to make it easier.
