I've just been going over certain aspects of the CNS (Central Nervous System) and came across a clinical condition called "conduction aphasia", i.e. "a condition which produces fluent but nonsensical speech".

Can anyone come up with WHO or HOW this condition might be applicable regarding some recent postings?

Oh Deb you little darlin', I guess I had that one coming.

I'm witcha, Gil, my man

Hallelujah! Finally someone to make nerdy neuro jokes about Wernicke's aphasia!

Perhaps your clinical acumen is greater than mine, Gil, because now that you mention it, temporal lobe damage could easily explain the bizarre rantings of our friend, Earnestlover. I think we should get a head CT with and without contrast and an MRI.

Good job, Gil. You may have saved this man's life.

Now that I'm in diagnosis mode, though, I can't help but wonder about you too. The repetitive utterance of meaningless phrases like "oh shit, oh dear" is a warning sign of early damage.

Nurse, call radiology. We've got 2 patients for them. ;)

My dear sirs their is also a pyschiatric condition seen in schizophrenia that will produce the same symptom. With all due respect I think earnest fits well into this diagnosis.
BTW Oliver it was cute little Deborah who was guilty of the "oh shit".

Ms. Snappy, you're a PA, right?

You're absolutely correct. Ernie shows several classic characteristics of schizophrenia: flight of ideas, tangential thought, a babble bordering on word salad. So it's certainly in my differential, but as any good doc will tell you, you've got to rule out organic causes first. Also, as any sensible doc these days will tell you, we don't want a lawsuit from Miss Scarlett (I know, she usually "goes the other way"), so let's give him "the works" before we turn him over to the shrinks.

(and btw, Gil has been uttering "oh shit, oh dear" for months. That was Deb's joke... and a good'un).

Goes the other way? I didn't hear you complaining when I was going your way, Doc.

Your extreme sexual performance will save you from any malpractice suit I could muster....oh the memories! ;)

As an aside, I think you gentlemen should listen to Ms. Snappy...she usually knows her shit. Smart lady she is. :)

No complaints here, ma'am. I've been relishing the memory ever since that glorious night. And thanks again for giving me your fragrant lacy little "g" as a memento of our time together.

(Don't tell, but I use it as my surgical mask; helps counteract the smell of the cautery.)

oh, and I'm in total admiration of Ms. Snappy. She's smart knowledgeable, and a helluva lay in her own right. ;)

(note to Snaps: the preceding was a joke. Do not send any siblings in law enforcement to kick my ass.)

Oh shit I didn't know about Gil.. Thanks SS will say I enjoyed my recent experiences with the big squash guy and you. I will always relish the tears he shed when you were through with him... Showed him good sweetie I don't think he will ever forget you. I was inspired by your performance girlfriend..... You are goooooodddddd girl!!!

Oliver never before has a boy wanted more HA HAH AH AH HAAH sorry just couldn't resist a chance to sing for you .
But not to worry I wouldn't need the swat team. Hot Debbie taught me how to shoot a pistol reallllll goooooooddddddd!!

BTW Deborah who won in the battle between the little person and the Scotsquash? Howard never said..

Eureka

Conuction aphasia! This could explain the postings of Roland Gilliad. That or Turrette's Syndrome. LOL

What I'd rather see for a certain "aphasian"...

"Conduction Asphyxia"

Does it come in an easy-to-swallow gel caplet?
