what are your feelings towards condoms?

my ex said she didn't like using condoms and since she was on the pill, we didn't have a problem.

I think anyone who won't use them is a moron, but again that's a judgement about the users, not the condom itself.

Condoms, hmm...

My "first" and I didn't use condoms, 'cause I thought it was just the two of us. It was me finding out it was the two of us and a few other girls that broke us up. Since then, I've
  • become more selective about my partners (especially those lucky enough to "go home")
  • insisted more on condom use (ESPECIALLY for those "going home")
    [/list=a]
My current beau and I weren't using condoms (not venturing past 3rd base) until one drunken night, not so long ago, his ex took advantage of him, no glove included. So in the interim between now and test time, I'm insisting on condoms for everything.

I say, no matter what flavour, it still seems like sucking on a balloon. One of those long ones they use for twisting into balloon animals. Sigh.

In a perfect world I wouldn't have to use them, as I much prefer the feel of a naked cock in me. However, the world is not perfect and they are a necessary part of my sex life. When I find myself in monogamous relationships however, once we are both declared clean, I will stop using them as I am on the shot.

Yeah.....so does Aids.

I have to agree they get in the way but i dont want to die from having a few hours of pleasure.

I keep them on hand just incase there is ever a time i might get lucky. If he wont wear one, he goes home. Plus im not on the pill. I dont want any little devils running around here unless they are planned.

I like the way Emerald Eyes said it," No glove, no love." Thats perfect! :D

Feelings for condoms...nope don't have any :D

However, I am very happy that I am in my marriage I don't have to worry about them ;)

We have an advertising campiagn here....it say's "If its not on - Its not on"

I like that one too.

I can't have any more kids so that really isn't the issue for me. But unless you want to show me signed, noterized, President seal of approval, FDA insured by the FDIC and the IRA that was pruchased by the FBI in the CIA shop where the DEA is located that you are 500% guarenteed clear of any and everything.. You will wear one

Of course if we have like a relationship going for a while n stuff then .. we will see.

I don't like condoms, generally. They feel too tight and reduce sensitivity. The Trojan large condoms are more comfortable, plus I can get them on quickly without breaking them. Plus, some women are allergic to latex. I was using lambskin condoms for a while, which are very comfortable, too. Fortunately for me, I am not a serial monogamist at this point--just a monogamist.

I was at the store today, though, and I saw that these new polyurethane ones. I know they've been out for a while, but I read the box which said that they transmit heat a little better. I realized that maybe this was what I was missing with the latex condoms.

Has anyone else tried these polyurethane condoms? What did you think?

Lambskin condoms only help prevent pregnancy. They don't help prevent STDs.

Condoms are a bloody must.
If there's one thing I hate is when you're about to get it on and break out the condom and she says "I'm on the pill",that happens all to often.

The reply though is "Sure, but we don't know where who we've been with before tonight, right?" bit harsh at times but hey.

And I've never felt that it's constricting or in the way.

Besides there's something very sensual about the way she puts them on me:D A wee bit of snugness never hurt.

Thanks. I'm aware of that, but it's possible that someone else may have inferred otherwise from my post. Good to point out.

I wish there was more conclusive data on the polyurethane condoms, though.

I wonder why nobody ever puts the studs on the inside..?

HERE! HERE! I love this question! Why aren't they also ribbed for OUR pleasure??? Is this a condom conspiracy??? hmmmm???

Because the inside doesn't move across your skin. Studs are redundant there. The pressure of the studs as they squeeze between her flesh though, this is not a one way street.

Ok.. Yes..

(I know WAY too much about condoms)

The poly's are thinner, they transmit heat better, are generally "looser fit" than normal latex condoms, and also have a slightly higher failure rate in the (over rated) ISO inflation testing tests.

However, they are a must if you have latex allergies (oh, and BTW, you can actually acquire latex allergies, just ask any surgeon).. and you can use oil based lubes.

Oh.. and they kinda make a riffling noise.. so no super secret nookie with room mates sleeping nearby.

There is also the Female Condom (or femidom), it is also made of poly, and it's basically a reverse condom. It's quite big, and looks a little daunting at first, but it's not that bad once you get the hang of it..

Really good for people who have trouble keeping condoms on.
But.. expensive as hell.

I don't have any allergies like that, and the ones I prefer are the ones made by Okimoto (Japanese).. They make the Beyond 7 and Crown brands.

They are the thinnist I've ever come across, and are my first choice, especially their "Ribs and Dots" variety.

If your looking for them in the states, I believe condomcountry.com and condomania.com have them.

They are not approved for use here in Australia, so are not available via retail :-(

I'm allergic to latex down there.. really bad.. just like with perfumed soap, etc... and it can hurt very badly :(

I'd be interested in hearing more about this 'polyurethane condom'?

I'll go do a google..
