So, worse year yet for The Gay Agenda at my workplace. They are having month long Gay Events and every building is flying the fag flag. This is a company that literally has zero Christmas decorations, or for any other religious holiday for any religious group. Yet, it shoves what amounts to a cult down the throats of employees which is what the gay alphabet soup thing actually is.

I would venture to say far more of their employees are Christian, or frankly even Hindu or Muslim, than homosexual. Yet, no religious holidays recognized but the June Gayfest is shoved down everyone's throat. At this point, most people know better than to say anything if they want their job, but do they really think nobody is offended by this? Do they just not care?

Aren't they going a bit overboard if this is just about not wanting to be sued by gay activists for some discrimination claim?

That's an awful lot of homoerotic imagery for someone with your concerns, renard.

Here, Renny. Let this calming animated .gif of two normal white people having normal sex soothe your stressed-out soul.

That's "liberalism" and "progress" in the USA.

They don't care enough to loose their job.

Democrats is general, and fags in particular, are hot for some feudalism of old, with fags at the top of society. Fag is now a wise career move.

Man! If it's as bad as you say you better be careful, you might catch it! Gayness that is.

You better wear surgical gloves, or at least use a hand sanitizer and wear a mask. Oh yes, and don't use the toilets at work, hold on to you get home.

Well, as the Right always says, change jobs.

My suggestion would be that this time don't go to work in a gay nightclub.

again, they pissed and moaned until they were "equal" so now they should be equally told to keep their personal life choices, opinions and actions to themselves just like the rest of us. Don't insult straight people then cry foul when they insult you. Another bunch of whiny ass (maybe sore ass) cry babies wanting to be accepted because of their sexual preferences when typically they are disliked because of who they are, not whom they fuck.

Poor renard, someone is always either shoving something down his throat or making him bend over for something.

Such an angry fat lady. Anger gives you cellulite. :)

So private companies aren't allowed to implement policies consistent with their beliefs or mores?

I thought that's what ya'll slathered over trying to support HL for their antics on... oh I know that's right, they're only allowed to implement policies consistent with your beliefs or mores... got it.

Trying to figure out how this is the "worst year yet" for them when they're clearly celebrating their representation and you're the one standing in the corner alone holding the platter of bitchcakes. :D

Once they have a "best year yet," you're gonna be jumping off the company roof doing your best Greg Louganis impersonation!

Oh they are, it's just our right to bitch about asshole employers who use the workplace to force their politics on others. ;)

It is absolutely your right to bitch about it. As it is the right of others to point out the inconsistency of such occasions by such individuals.

It's not inconsistent as no one is objecting to their right to do so.

Just calling them assholes for it as far as I can tell.

Pointing out people being assholes is not inconsistent with supporting their right to be an asshole.

I've always felt that the people who go hardest against homosexuality are closet gays or had been molested by someone of the same sex.

That's not natural to hate someone with such ferocity.

But you know, this is typical right wing garbage, they want people who look different from them to be seen and not heard.

It makes them uncomfortable. I mean how dare these groups choose to exist and enjoy their lives free from harassment and discrimination, now they want to bitch about 'special rights'!

The nerve, right?

Excuse us people of color, females, gays, Muslim, insert any non-straight white Christian Republican male here, if we make you right wing shit for brains feel so uncomfortable. Learn to coexist with others in this world, you aren't the center of the universe.

No, that's not quite it.

I have my personal life and my work life, and sometimes those two realities intersect. It's not a big deal. Sometimes from work I'll check my personal email, do online banking, IM friends, and take/place personal calls. Some people bring their kids in randomly (there's even a 'day' for it). Some times I'll also do work stuff on my off-hours, or I'll be "on call" for a day or three, a weekend, or a full week, during which time o have zero personal life.

Again, not a big deal.

We have a 'community service' week where people get paid time off to volunteer. We have Black History Month. Asian Awareness. Cultural Apprexiation. Women In Tech. Etc. Etc. Meh, so what? As long as they don't get in the way of my work, I don't care.

Do any of the other events have flags, streamers, special events, guest speakers, or people putting stickers and streamers on everyone's desk? NO.

Do I put up signs at my cubicle/office/shop to tell everybody that I was balls-deep in my wife's pussy the night before? NO.

Do I wear a special shirt to let everyone know that since my male body loves the femal body that It makes me so proud to be a heterosexual? NO.

So guess what? Yeah, it's annoying as fuck that my employer makes a big point of being so happy to openly celebrate the small percentage of people who aren't straight.

There is no part of our jobs that are enhanced because George likes dick or that Suzy likes pussy. Nobody cares who you fuck. That doesn't belong in the workplace. Keep your tits out of the machinery, your dicks out of the water cooler, and the gender of your partner out of my office.

It's not about being squeamish about who you're fucking or married to, it's that this doesn't need to have a place in the work environment. Work life and home life are different. Is that so hard to understand?

Edit:
The first part I put in was to say there is some overlap between personal life and professional life. There are times when they overlap, but sexuality isn't one of them. I mean, it's one thing to type a policy document at home, or to print a receipt at work. Celebrating who you share your genitals with is way over the line. Email = yes. Fetish = no.

If I worked for a company that specialized in weddings or sex toys, you would have a point. Company policy, by following the law, can't discriminate based on several factors, of which sexual orientation is one verboten area.

Shall we revisit any of the cases of Christian business owners refusing to participate in a non-heterosexual wedding? Why can't they dictate their beliefs to the employeees? And if they do and an employee complains, would your comment be the same?

Sales Incorporated deals with business sales, they aren't in the business of celebrating sexuality. Don't do it. Tell me again why Chick-Fil-A is such a hit with the gay community. They don't force the beliefs of the owners on the employees, but dared to make a statement of belief.

Oops, sorry. It's only OK when it's your way.

No. Actually it doesn't matter. They can celebrate their company mores the way they want to. You don't have to work there or be a patron.

That you try to rationalize it away just proves my point. It's only okay if you're christian apparently.

Oh hell no!

You would be immediately fired for "triggering..."
