Colorgenics

Are you lonely, shy frustrated and modest, or are you egocentric and believe that you are always right? (Those two statements were in the same paragraph!)
What? You think a person can be both of these at the same time? This sounds like the perfect definition of a writer to me! ;)

You have a vivid imagination and this is good. Great inventors, explorers all had inventive, imaginative minds. Your friends and acquaintances may consider you over-imaginative and given to fantasy or day-dreaming. So what ? this is a part of your character and charm.

Which ever way you turn you feel that you are being utterly thwarted. There is considerable conflict in the air but you will stick to your beliefs and not be deterred in endeavouring to attain your objectives.

As for developing a firm relationship - inwardly deep down in your subconscious mind you are wary of even trying to get close to another person because you feel that if you open up your heart and feelings you are sure to get hurt. Since you are living in a society where close relationships are the norm, you feel that there is that need to conform, but any close relationships of any magnitude that you may have tried in the past have unfortunately left you without any sense of emotional involvement.

You want to be different - to be individualistic - to stand out from the common herd. Your inherent control of your sensual instincts is restricting your ability to give yourself to open up freely but this being on your own, being lonely, often makes you feel the need to give up some of your strict standards to surrender to the general flow - to be like everyone else; a part of the herd. Deep down you regard such instincts as weaknesses to be overcome. You would like to be loved or admired for yourself alone. You demand recognition and tender loving care.

Being afraid that you may be prevented from achieving your hopes and dreams is making you anxious and nervous. As a dreamer your ideas can at times move into the realm of fantasy and you could be following that so called illusive dream.

Damn. *shiver*

Each profile is five sets of phrases. I assume they start off with the first color you pick, and ignore the last one. All of the phrases are vague and open-ended (although we hate to read them that way because they are about us), and allow us to find some situation or conflict, or character trait we believe we have, and apply these words to it.
you can take all of these phrases, copy-and-paste them in any random order, and repeat them to almost anyone-- and they'll say; "that's scary accurate!" Be real popular at parties! :D

I'm especially impressed by the emphasis on stress loneliness, conflict. Stress, loneliness conflict are universals-- BUY PRODUCT!

You and Liar are such stressed out, lonely skeptics. You really need to deal with your inner conflict by changing your life! :D

Yes, the Skeptic's Dictionary has something to say along those lines.

ETA: I should refresh and read a bit before submitting something I wrote an hour ago but didn't send until now.

Yeah well-- which is it, are you a leader in every sense of the word, or do you insist on going it alone?
It's lonely at the top...

No, actually what I was trying to suggest, ironically, is that this BS is seductively phrased to draw in the suckers.

I don't contest the contradictions, but we all know that people have little difficulty in believing contradictory things.

Each bit, taken alone, strokes ones own opinion of oneself: of course I'm (or want to be) a leader; of course I'm lonely; of course I'd be internationally renowned for my insight if 'they' would only listen.

And it's not just the 'this size fits all' that's clever, calling it 'colorgenics' (with a caveat over the US spelling) gives it a nice (as in precisely judged) feel of science.

I repeat: "This could be dangerous."
