*pops head in* You know, I should've come here ages ago, but I was always afraid because of the number of posts. Well, 18 year old UMass-Amherst gal here. I'd just like to say that if anyone would like to join my imaginary sororiety, Chi Chi Chi (XXX), then they are welcome.

Now only if there was a real sorority like that. I'd join that one. The only sorority I'd ever really consider joining would be the honorary band one, Tau Beta Sigma, which basically only does fundraisers for the band. All these other ones though, I would so not fit in. At least at my school, they always look like a bunch of thin, pretty girls who like to watch the OC. I bet there are some really good ones out there with smart, talented women who don't just want to party and hook up with the frat boys, but that's the image (albeit it a stereotype) that I get. I don't think we have an honors History frat branch here, but there is a Psych honors one. I'd definitely prefer an authentic toga party over the other ones. I'm not into the party/drinking scene. When I'm 21, I'll probably go out for a drink occassionally, but right now, that's the last of my worries. Of course, I always have time for talking about sexual endeavors.zhukov1943 said:

What school in RI? I have a friend who goes to PC (I really want to visit her there sometime), and I saw the URI marching band once, and they were very entertaining. What was the tattoo law before? That will be interesting. Instead of just chains of airbrush custom art parlors everywhere around Myrtle Beach, the chain will be interrupted every so often by an ink parlor. Hehehe.zhukov1943 said:

Tattoos have been illegal here for a long time. Anyone who wanted one had to go to NC or GA to get it!
SC and OK are the only states left who ban tattooing...
Ironic, seeing as how we're very popular with bikers, because we have no mandatory helmet law!
Oh - and think twice about that tattoo, Miss "Geek"! My friends got 'em in college, and now are VERY sorry they have them...

Well, that's the main reason why I wasn't one of those people who ran out on their 18th birthday to get one. I want to wait a while and think about it, research it, stuff like that. I was originally thinking of a butterfly, but everyone does that and I want to be different. I was actually thinking of something like a music staff around my ankle or bicep or something to that effect. I don't want to get anything on any part of my body that will grow or shrink drastically. My friend was telling me about someone she knew who got a lizard on her stomach and then got preggers. Well, that lizard turned into an aligator, she said.zhukov1943 said:

Well us Southerners aren't used to snow or it hanging around long once we get some. We still have some lingering around but the majority of it is gone!!!
