Hey,
Is this room willing to adopt a former college athlete (grad last may) turned law school library hermit? Just looking to chat and keep things interesting. You never know how boring a library can be until spend ungodly amounts of time in it doing research:D

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Hey andy! welcome to the room...we'll adopt you of course! :D

welcome!

I'm new too, but as you can see, people are friendly in these parts!

SC, I can't say as I blame you for being preoccupied. So I'll just leave a :rose: for you and and wish you the best on your interview. BTW, what sort of job are you interviewing for?

Good evening all

Hey, how's school? Haha, as if I have to ask, school sucks lol. Only "educators" could turn something as wonderful and interesting as learning and knowledge and make it a complete drag, blah Haha  Don't you just wish you could go to school for the sake of learning and not just because we're looking to make green? I do, I wish I could go back to ancient Greece and attend the Gymnasiums where I could just talk about philosophy and other issues, and learn because its fun and I'm really passionate about it... Oh well, guess I have to learn on my own time haha... Anyway, peace everyone  ... Good luck with your interview SC, thankfully I passed my interview last semester for an internship and will be working for one of the big four accounting firms.

Hey Andy

Thanks for the welcome guys...I say we'd got a pretty combination going a lawyer, an architect, and an angelic goddess (sorry SCBT don't know what you're studying). We'd pretty much got everything covered...

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome. I generally keep to myself and just enjoy the stories and conversations, but like I said there can only so much research someone can take. I'll keep popping in and out from time to time.

Hey Andy, its cool running into you here, I post on the Maryland thread and I noticed you posted there also. So your a Marylander? Cool. Did you got to college in Maryland, or now go to law school in Maryland or DC?

my new signature

Hey,
Can anyone transcript or transcribe my new signature? A little biochem or molecular biology will help.

Raising hand and jumping around. "I know, I know, Pick me!" But I won't tell until the rest of the class figures it out

GEG,
Why are you so cute? And obviously very smart.
Nico

sorry...

But there's a reason I design buildings... molecular biology makes me go cross-eyed, now that I think of it, reproductive biology does too, but in a better way ;-) hope everyone's day is going as well as mine. off to class in a few.

Yeah I am just a Business major. :) I can design project plans in designing your buildings, does that count?

Very interesting signature I must admit. However, my brain is fried from a 6 hour DNA isolation that didn't even work completely right anyhow. Damn bacteria....why don't you just grow and multiply...I guess they don't enjoy reproducing as much as the members of this board like to go through the motions of reproduction.

To all the new members. Welcome and have fun while being here. I myself am a 22m in ohio. A molecular biology and chemistry major with a minor in biology. I also run track and field for my school and am an amateur potter. i am not an often poster on this board but I read it just about every day.

To GEG, I apologize for not replying to your very lovely quote of my post when I finally stumbled back onto the board. Its the thoughts like that, that get me through the long hours in the lab. To only see the look in your eyes and the radiance of your face as I returned that exuberance to you in so many innocent (and many not innocent) ways would make me a complete and happy man, but alas, tis not to be at this time, so I shall sit here and dream of happy thoughts.

That makes my head hurt just reading it LOL.
19m Aviation Maintenance Major, soon to also be certified for transport category and FCC certified for avionics and communications. May go to Purdue for 2 years to get my 4 year.
Good luck with the Major man

Hey all, just came to say Hi, I've been really busy and overwhelmed with shit to do :(. Oh well, such is the life. I hope everyone is doing well.

Which is exactly why I posted, knowing that eventually you would see it. It would seem that spring has returned again. (8 letters)

btw, the kind of so called "nerdiness" that you, MaskofZorro, were referring to and worrying about, Lj has. It's very attractive and that's why I think it's sexy

Yes I think that Spring has either returned or at the very least the groundhog did not see his shadow so that it is in sight. The weather is warming up, just like passions do after being stifled by the cold of winter. The trees are budding, like the dreams shared between people late at night. The grass is green, just like the ever so beautiful eyes of a certain poster on this thread.

Nerdiness....yes I am a nerd, but I am also much more. I'm an athlete, in a fraternity, can drink lilke a fish when i want to, a potter, an artist, a decent guitarist, and many other things. To limit the description of onesself to merely one aspect is to limit your being. There are many many aspects to a person and their personality. Why limit yourself to just one and make it a limiting factor. I love being a nerd b/c it means that when some of my friends are studying their ass off, I can get up early and just study for an hour or two and do as well or better on the same exam. There are two sides to every coin why look at the downside? That an having caught the eye (among other things) of GEG is never a downside ;)

Pretty interesting Nick, but you need to replace the AAA. You're thinking of a Leucine codon. AAA is a Lysine codon which has a symbol of K. That got me for a little bit, but I got it

Andy,
Wow, I'm impressed that anyone figured that out so quickly, thank you, you are correct and it has been fixed. I guess that is why I am currently taking 2nd semester biochem for the second time.

Hey Nick
BioChem is definitely a tough class...I hate chem so I tried to avoid it as much as possible. Hence, I'm in law school now:D
But before law, I spent 4 years doing Molecular Bio. I was actually almost done with a 5 yr Master program before I got sick of it. Anyway, that was a very cute sig line...does she get it? Is she a science major too?

Right on Andy,
I am hoping to go to law school in a few years but want to do something using the biochem degree and the law. I enjoy chem but I dont want to live in a lab, and I have always wanted to be an attourney. Well she is not a sci major but I told her what it means and tried to explain how the RNA works. Although she is not a science major, she is a very smart girl and seemed to really understand it when I explained it to her.
Good luck in Law School, How do you like it?
