But that's to be expected in Architorture.. I mean Architecture..

It can't be that bad, my dad is an architect, and it seems to be a very cool job. The only thing you have to worry about is shady politicians who would rather you design something cheap than safe and structuraly sound.

Btw, welcome to the thread

Thanks..

Thanks for the welcome GEG. :rose: It is a cool job, but ask him sometime about studio time at school <chuckle> I look forward to the diversions to be had here, as I slave away into the night in studio...

really? that's awesome :) it's nice to know that someone actually followed it :D

I wish...

I still have 3 more years of this... A 31 yo sophomore... who would'a thunk it?

Thanks SC

I'm just going to be glad when the rest of my classmates all turn 21 in the next year... ;)

lol...and some of them it'll be in 2004 when they do ;) I think it's great that you are a "Nontraditional student"..I admire that...and I wish my mother would do it

To be honest...

I didn't know what I wanted to do when I graduated HS, so I went Army.... Then about 5 years ago, after coming off active duty into the Nat. Guard, I found architecture, and realized I found my calling in life, so I sold the house, and AWAY we go!

Talking about boring majors

I'm an accounting major (class of 2004!) and let me tell you, accountants don't have that hot a rep. We're boring, nerdy, etc... Not to mention we do the most boring stuff that no one else wants to do so that's why we end up getting paid so well haha... But I can sympathize, ever read a financial statement? Kind of begs the question, how can we 'read' numbers? Don't know, we just do, like I said mad boring....

There is nothing wrong with being "nerdy". Personally I like a little nerdiness, it's sweet and endearing, and of course generally it's a sign of intelligent life. So actually I think you have alot going for you.

And as to your earlier question about skydiving, I love it. It's so thrilling, I've always been obsessed with the sensation of flying, it's a huge adrenaline rush. You have to try it sometime, you'll be hooked.

Not to mention...

being able to see where the money is going is very important! And yes I have had to read one, which is why i'll pay accountants to keep the books! :)

re. skydiving, the closest thing I've been to it was rappeling from helicopters... but i've always wanted to try, just not the army way. :) Flying in the chopper with my legs hanging out the side doors was the closest i've been... but it's a rush...

:D Awesome, "sweet and enduring" I love that haha, that's nice to hear... On my campus so many of the business majors are these frat guys who all the girls gravitate too because they've got all the liquor and parties... Kind of leaves us non-frat guys (and therefore basically accounting majors) out of the loop, those guys are the "cool" guys but whatever, I never saw myself like that and even though I'm not a pocket-protector wearing, pants up to my armpits kind of nerd, I guess I am sort of nerdy. But it sucks though that regular people like me got branded long ago with this word that is so often mean to be negative. Anyway, I like being me a lot and its nice to find that there are other girls out there who appreciate that sort of thing. I wasn't sure any of them existed in college, guess maybe I go to the wrong college Haha. Goodnight all....
