Me too....after New Years' I was ready to go back. Missing having my friends right upstairs, and about ready to strangle my parents....and extra excited to go back because after I do, it will only be a few days until the NYC Litogether on the 18th

I was just in NYC back in early December. I loved it there . I totally agree with you about the parents, my parents are making me do chores. I'm like "I'm on vacation and you want me to do work around the house!" I can't wait to get back, but I do enjoy a room to myself that is bigger than the dorm I live in with one other person.

Speaking as the employee of a university, I'd like to say that the schools are getting pretty boring too without the students. It goes both ways! We want y'all back!

I had to stay until the last day of the university being open due to my exam schedule and most of the students had gone.

My school was like a ghost town. It was just so lifeless with all that space and no one occupying it.

Ahhh sorry about being gone so long guys and gals

I've had a busy week. 2 a days for track plus other stuff we gotta go to, to get a more "team" attitude....what fun. I like the coach, its just I'm the clicks that originated last year within the team I just don't care for and other than the casual hanging out that occurs, I don't really want to be with stuck around some of those people more than I have to.

I'd love to do a little more drinking...but I'm having a hard enough time just keeping hydrated from workouts. Had a couple last night though...man did the bud light taste good.

Saw the movie Gangs of New York last night....not especially thrilled by it. Just seemed like a lot of wanton violence without much reason behind it...but if that's how it was I guess they did a good job. Just wasn't enough of a plot in it to really engross me in it.

I've been pretty lucky with roommates. My freshman year, he was a complete dick but was never in the room. Sophomore year, he was a complete slob but a really nice guy but was always in his g/f's room. Junior year I moved into almost like a set of condo's the school owns with 5 friends, that was cool but my roommate didn't leave the room much, so that got annoying...no place to have fun with the g/f at the time. This year I'm in my frat house and I've got a double all to myself. Its very nice.

As to my frat hellping me get into my major...No it doesn't. You dont' even really need to apply, you just sign up and get an advisor. However, you need to keep above a C or B average to graduate within the classes for your major...so I dunno. Mainly we're just a social fraternity, but we have enough alums in the surrounding area that we get help with jobs and such if we need them.

i'm living in a single myself. I've done the roomate thing, and i don't like it. My first was a guy from Iceland who was really cool, but got a Mexican gf like two weeks after he got here...that still makes me smile...anyway, he was always over at her place...except that he'd occasionally come in at odd hours...my next roomate was a nice guy too...but he'd never leave, and yet never talk either...it was very odd...like living in a church or something...which may have been because the guy was extremly hard-core Christian...my summer roomate was a guy i knew from fencing club...we gradually got more and more on each other's nerves until we could scarecly stand each other anymore...

i've been on campus when classes aren't in session too...it IS really odd...

one more weekend shaq? are you guys on a semester(sp?) system?

I have the same thing. A roommate who never leaves. He is always there is pisses me off sometimes. The only time he leaves is for class or to get food. He's not Christian but still jesus christ. I looked into a single dorm but they are just way to fucking small I god so claustraphobic in there it was scary. I hope I can get a single apartment soon, until then I guess I'll have to survive.

Semester system goes back Jan 17th or so like me. I'm on the semester system.

My goodness, I'm gone for almost a week and the board goes nuts...guess I should have expected that with people returning from break.

I too start classes this week...Monday night is the first...I have one TTH mornings from 8-9:30 (that I may drop) and one Thursday night. With work being as crazy as it is I'd dearly love to only take 6 credit hours, but we'll see.

lol....

the four us are in an apartment....we each have our own seperate room but we share a kitchen, den type room one shower, 2 sinks, and one toilet...it's not that bad except for the temperature....see my freshman year my roommate went home every weekend....so I had the room on the weekends to myself.....sophmore year moved into the same type things where I am now and had 2 roomies that were basketball players and the 4th was my best friend ( at the time)...Junior year same best friend, another friend, and the luck of the draw- RA!!!!!!!!!! had a fight about the temperature then....and this year..one good friend, 2nd roommate is turning into a good friend...and 3rd is the bitch..oh well..

NCG- whenever is cool....I return back to school saturday so I'll be on 24/7 then :-D

I'm sorta lucky, I have a double that's really about the size of my room at home. The largest room on campus

But yeah, my roommate loves to leave the windows open when it's 20 degrees outside, so when I get back I'll probably wonder why I ever wanted to leave home. And I'll probably keep wondering that until March, when it finally warms up.

I have to take my MP3 player to circuit city tomorrow. I got it for Christmas and the 200 dollar contraption was broken when I bought it. I really NEED it before I go back. My school has been renovating for the past 4 years it seems and is only halfway through.

I need something to drown out the noise when I study. I got a lot of classical music and hip hop instrumentals to massage my mental when I'm trying to learn. But I need a working player to do it!
