In my searches on the net and around the US I have yet to find a place that makes a collar I would put on a slave. So I have begun the process of making them myself. If I can find significant interest I would be willing to make some for fellow "Life-stylers". I have made a few for friends and my personal slave out of sterling silver and out of stainless steel. So my question is there any interest in this. Would it be worth my time?

I am personally more of a fan of leather collars; www.leathercellar.com has a lovely selection. But I have not seen many spectacular metal collar sites in my searches, so you probably have a good market available, assuming enough people prefer metal over leather. Why don't you post some pics of the work you've done? I'm genuinely interested to see how you are doing it.

And before anyone beats me to it, welcome to our lil corner of the forum! Enjoy your stay, check out the Library, and don't feed the Dominants--they bite.

i'm interested! you should post pictures of what you've done. are they chain link type collars or solid metal bands?

Out of all that's out there online, there's not one site that has something to suit you? Why do you feel they're not acceptable - that is, what do you want that they don't have?

Show me a site that offers a stainless steel/silver collar with an integral lock that has an option of allowing a script on it Please!!!! It would save me countless hours of work.

See, being vegetarian, I am not interested in leather. I have never seen a site that offered what I am looking for either.

The idea of silver, or some kind of cloth collar interests me more than anything.

I think it is a good idea, and you may be suprised what the market for that kind of thing may be like. You could probably make a decent living off selling them from a website.

Especially if you make custom collars. Do you do jewlery work? I'd imagine you could do some very beautiful work with silver and semi precious gems.

Neat Idea though, go for it.

Go for it. I think variety is the spice of life and there is always room for freedom of creative expression, so even if there are 10 or more sites with similar collars, yours will be your creation and as such will have it's own unique beauty to offer.

for non leather collars... have you tried a pet store?
There's a huge Pet Co. near me and as well as having collars they also have tack equiptment.. but that's another thread...
I like their collars made out of the nylon type material... the majority of it is soft ont he skin, the burnt ends of the collar could potentially irritate but their easy to talor so the edges are avoidable... their meant to be sturdy (so your dog won't run away), they come in varying sizes, their menat of a live animal's neck, so you know there's a good buckle at the end that won't give and somehow strangle you. Also.. the nylon ones are probably easy to embroider is you so desire to place any designs on it... they also have some decorational collars that have cheesy little gems and stufff ont hem already.. than you can go to a simple arts and craft store and invest in a glue gun.. stick anything you want to it...

The only downfall is there's only one D ring on the majory of pet collars... so if you want multiple rings you'd have to look elsewhere

Just a suggestion for the non leather fans.

Thanks for the veggie links, Etoile. I'm a proud member of PETA!

I've found quite a few nice collars at Petsmart opposed to Petco... ^.^ ... Hope my manager didn't just hear me dis my own company?... A wide fine slver chainlink collar though does sound nice.. Otherwise try a Tack shop... many online for gorgeouse silver or brass nameplates for leather/ nylon collars.

Just a thought.

One66stang,

It seems kittenstoyroom has some nice metal collars. And I dig the barbed wire necklace.

I have some friends that do the convetion circuit alot, and they do wonderful work. I have a custom silver piece that they did for my bunnie. I have a link to the collar section of thier website, but there is a lot more there than just collars. I personally love their stuff.
