Hah! Perhaps I'm cynical or something, but I don't share your hope, and I fail to see how your poking them will help them achieve this goal.Well, I seem to continue to have the hope that at some point people will see how petty and silly and childish they are being and just turn to something more creative and constructive.
I think we all know that bit already.I'll certainly be doing that in a minute or two--in the meantime I'll just establish that I'm not scared or cowed by the dynamic being demonstrated here.
Now. You're being nasty here. There are people here who care about her and will jump at you for writing this in the way you did. You could have written it better you know. With all your claims of being 'writerly'... *sigh* Anyway, so now you goad. And you know they will jump at this, still you post it in the way you do. I don't think it has anything to do with balance or your showing you are not intimidated or anything. I just think you enjoy it, the posturing and the poking.Gawd, Cloudy hasn't died--and where she's at is by her choice and no one was particularly abusive to her in the process--certainly not as abusive as she can be to others. She's just savoring the "stroke me" phase of this standard Internet game. Give her your testimonials and then welcome her back when she reappears. It's all a normal pattern of Internetting. It's just best to keep it all about her and to avoid the nastier, pitchforking phase of that particular game.
What can I say? I agree with a lot of things you say a lot of times, but I disagree with the way you go about saying them, which is why I am having this dialogue in the first place. Other than that, I don't really know what the point is.
