Whee! Okay, I realize now I might have been a lil bit condescending (I tend to think the best of people, ya see). I apologize.

Maybe you weren't wildly misinformed; maybe you were misinforming, wildly.

There has been no “debunking” of reported Palestinians fatalities. The Jerusalem Post willfully misread the monthly UN Palestinian fatalities report and convinced soggy middlebrow western news orgs to run with their spin for a news cycle. Now that the cycle is over, everybody’s pretending they didn’t say nuthin. Whistlin up their doo-dahs and such.

It’s all right here...

How many times does this have to happen? Infinite? I’d blame Israel if its propaganda wasn’t so instantly demonstrably morbidly hilariously orwellishly false. At this point you gotta blame the consumer. Cuz, I mean, who would take comfort in “only” 7900 dead Palestinian children?

Of course, genocide denial in the face of mountains of corpses has become the new…same old thing it’s always been.
Not every time civilians are killed in war is a "genocide".

The Arab population of Palestine has increased five-fold since the founding of Israel. Israel is not now, and has never attempted to commit genocide.

Meanwhile, Hamas explicitly calls for the extermination of the Jews in their charter. They're too weak to pull it off, but accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza is a transparent attempt to whitewash the genocidal intent of the terrorists they're fighting against.

World view of U.S. boosted in Biden's first months, with room to win over wary allies

The world’s view of U.S. leadership rebounded in President Joe Biden’s first six months in office, according to a new survey spanning dozens of countries, though the United States still has plenty of room to improve its global image after former President Donald Trump distanced himself from allies and international cooperation.

In Gallup’s yearly report tracking world leaders released Tuesday, President Biden’s first months boosted the U.S. to a median 49% approval among 46 countries, up from 30% in 2020...

In 2020 just 15% of people surveyed in the United Kingdom, for example, approved of U.S. leadership, while 45% do now.

This is the most recent survey I could find. If Rightguide has a more recent survey that confirms his assertion I ask him to post it.

Even the NYTs reduced their numbers by half.
Not a subscriber. But if indeed the NYT publishes their own NYT-endorsed count of Palestinian deaths...and if they have lowered their number of reported child deaths by, say, 13% for the month of April, while the overall number of reported fatalities continues to grow...and all of this information comes from the monthly UN report...then they are engaging in a practice known as "moving the goalposts."

AKA mix-n-matching charts to achieve an...effect.

I cast no aspersions. But I do remember Judith Miller.

Give medals to the Israeli Genocide Force's Propaganda department for successfully hijacking the genocide narrative for 24 hours. "Nuh uh! Nuh uh!"

Still 30,000+ Gazans dead, 2/3 of them women and children.

No end to the Gazan Holocaust in sight either.

They did nothing of the sort. That is blood libel, and once again you bring disgrace to yourself and your family name.

Here is the paywall-free version of the NY Times report on the UN casualty count in Gaza:
U.N. Lowers Count of Women and Children Killed, Citing Incomplete Information

The Times reported on the UN CASUALTY FIGURES, which are now broken down into "indentified" and "unidentified" dead bodies.

It's important to remember that the absolute number of dead bodies in Gaza still exceeds 30,000, compared to the relatively paltry 1,100 casualties that Israel claimed were the result of the October 7th Outdoor Concentration Camp uprising.

At some point, even the most sullen hardened Israel supporter will have to admit that the collective punishment on the Gazan people is far, far worse than anything that Gaza did to Israel.

ATROCITY OF THE DAY: Israel bombed the desalinization plant that gives Rafah drinking water, letting civilians die of thirst from lack of fresh water (a much more cost effective way to drive up Gazan civilian casualty counts without undue risk to Israelis).

The term “blood libel” refers to the antisemitic accusation that Jews secretly murder Christians and use gentile blood to bake matzoh.

As with the modern baseless accusations of Israel committing genocide, the blood libel was used to justify the slaughter of Jews.

"Baseless accusations of Israel committing genocide"? Tsk.

30,000+ dead as a result of Israel's revenge bloodlust sure seems to me to be a pretty strong indicator of genocide in the making (denying food, clean water, medical help and shelter to civilians).

Israel has been exposed as simply another barbaric Middle Eastern nation without a soul. The only thing they have that differentiates them from their Muslim country counterparts is a better public relation staff and a propensity to "play the victim" better than most.

Israel is a democracy with civil rights for minorities, women, and LGBT people. On October 7th, it was brutally attacked without provocation.

Civilians have died in the ensuing war, but it’s not a genocide, despite that claim being repeated over and over again by antisemites.

Don’t you feel even a little shame for posting this???

🤔

Also:

For reasons that are painfully obvious, numbers coming out of Gaza will always be met with skepticism.

😑

Also:

The total death count is not in question:

The “who, how, and why” involving those deaths IS in question and IS relevant to whether or not Israel’s prosecution of the WAR amounts to "genocide" / "war crimes".

😑

And, as always:

EVERY death in Gaza is on the heads of the Hamas animals who were involved with the October 7th rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation, and who continue to hold hostages while waging WAR against Israel.

🤬

JFC

SAD!!!

I don't need to see some believable number of dead in Gaza to know the number is unacceptable. Seeing overhead photography of areas of Gaza convinces me that the civilian disruption and death toll are unacceptable.

Agreed:

So maybe the Hamas animals should surrender unconditionally and release the hostages to put an end to the death and destruction???

🤔

Or is EVERYTHING on the Israelis???

🤔

No, everything isn't on the Israelis. But you and others won't accept that no one has posted that it is. Just stop that.

And your supposition that Hamas is going to give up unconditionally and release the hostages is utterly ridiculous. Stop sitting on that as well and, if you post, do so on some sort of reality.

The Yahu's have been seeding this for decades. They've brought it on themselves with the atrocities they've committed over those years. You treat people like animals for long enough and they're going to bite your balls off.

They should have been stopped in the 60s or 70s and we wouldn't be here now.

Force them to comply with the numerous UN Resolutions they've ignored.

So October 7 was a valid retaliatory attack?

Just trying to pin down what you're saying here and making sure I understand.

War is hell. Hamas should have thought about that before Oct7. How many of the 30m are Hamas fighters or sympathizers?

^^^ Remember, he's supposed to be in prison for fraud and other crimes. Sound familiar?

I think JaF0's point is clear and valid. Prolonged subjugation will lead to ever-more-violent responses. You know, like the American, French, and Russian revolutions, with the suppression of the Palestinians in Israel having been more stringent that those other results of prolonged subjugation.

No, the resulting violence/atrocities often go beyond the acceptable/supportable, as they did in this case on 7 October, but the prolonged suppression makes them explainable, and the overkill response highlights why 7 October happened.

That Hamas exists has more to do with what Israel has been doing for the last 80 years than it does with anything the civilian Palestinian population has done.

Ancient history provides the context: There were folks living in Jericho and minding their own business on their own land when Joshua crossed the Jordan and knocked them walls down and killed and displaced those already living there.
