It’s anyone’s guess how many 2000 pound bombs Israel might need to finish the job in Rafah but right now the IDF is making headway in a surgical fashion. They’ve hit over 100 targets in the past few days using a combination of air strikes, artillery and tank fire. They’re continuing to attack groups of militants in eastern Rafah in close-quarters combat and with airstrikes. Among the targets are sites around Rafah where rockets had been fired into Israel, including around the Kerem Shalom crossing from the Gaza Strip into Israel. So far, they’re not being deterred by Biden’s election-driven pandering to the hateful antisemitic wing of his party. Hamas will be destroyed.

More than two dozen House Democrats led by Rep. Josh Gottheimer told national security adviser Jake Sullivan on Friday they were “deeply concerned” about President Biden’s decision to withhold military aid from Israel.

Gottheimer (D-NJ) and 25 of his fellow lawmakers wrote in a letter to Sullivan obtained by The Post that “withholding weapons shipments to Israel … only emboldens our mutual enemies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and other Iranian-backed proxies.”

“Seven months after October 7, the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the end of the Holocaust, Iranian-backed terrorist proxies continue to fire rockets and mortars into Israel and at Americans from all directions,” they wrote. “At the same time, antisemitism is spreading globally like wildfire.”

Israel has gotten so bloodthirsty the past seven months that they've exhausted their supply of bombs, and have been counting on Uncle Sam to replenish their supply. Bombs are a commodity items, but Israel has no home-grown aerial munitions factories and their genocidal air force has bomb racks built for US ordnance.

It's not like they can go to, say, Estonia and order a few pallets of white phosphorous bombs that'll fit in US bomb racks.

And what in the absolute fuck do you mean by "he lets the tail wag the dog" here? President Joe Biden is attempting to curtail Israel's current homicidal tendencies without offending Israel's delicate fee-fees.
