Israel reacted with a mix of concern and fury Thursday to President Joe Biden's warning that he would cut off weapons to the U.S. ally's military if it moves forward with a full-scale assault on Rafah, the city in southern Gaza where more than 1 million Palestinians are sheltering.

The threat, which marked a shift in Washington's public approach to the war, came after the Biden administration halted a shipment of bombs last week amid concerns over Israel's plans to invade Rafah even as cease-fire talks continue with Hamas. Biden's decision follows months of growing tensions between the U.S. and Israel — whose military it has long supplied with weapons — and as the president faces domestic pressure to to take a harder line.

Israel is shocked and upset that President Joe Biden has delayed delivery of 350 American cluster bombs desperately needed by Israel to annihilate civilians in Rafah as part of its seven month ethnic cleansing campaign

The Israeli War Cabinet seems especially upset that President Joe Biden made the policy change public after Israel repeatedly agreed to minimize civilian casualties and then continually broke their promises, murdering grandmothers, aid workers and especially foreign journalists.

According to State department sources, President Joe Biden was particularly vexed at Israel's response when they assassinated seven UN Food Relief Workers. "Meh, Fog of war, yadda yadda, what can you do?"

Without American bombs and a limited stockpile of artillery shells, Israel will be forced to do something it has been loathe to do: fight man-to-man on the ground in Gaza. While Israel has shown overwhelming superiority taking out unarmed women, children and elderly, they have performed poorly against people with firearms shooting back at them.

I doubt Israel's hands are tied here. But they have to realize their strategy is not going to last much longer, politically.

Their billion-dollar influence peddling in the American congress by AIPAC held strong for almost two months. Had Israel engaged their Wehrmacht in a Blitzkrieg operation....in and out in 60 days, they likely could have salvaged their reputation.

Unfortunately blood lust and a complete lack of operational control infected the leadership of the Israeli army, and world public opinion has turned decidedly against the warmongering Israelis.

Depriving the Israeli Wehmacht of American munitions is the important first step for Israel to regain control of their armed forces.
