Those pesky retractable clitoral hoods are a health hazard; it is such a chore to make sure everything is clean underneath it. Much better if I just get rid of it. Come to think of it, I'm generally tired of cleaning among all those folds to avoid the build up of smegma, and, therefore, cause an infection. Maybe I should just get rid of it all. It's not like I need it. I'll still have my clitoris for pleasure.

They should do standard clitoral hood removal in hospitals, not just male foreskin. Why discriminate?

Seriously, male circumcision makes about as much sense as female clitoral hood removal, i.e. no sense.

I have your avatar on my screensaver (though I didn't get it from you). We also discovered that it's a fake photo. Monk and I have decided not to circumsize our son. There is no compelling medical reason for it. Most anesthetics are not all that effective on such young infants (either due to the amount of the dose or the lack of availability). In this day and age, why not just let a boy be born with what he's born with? There must be some evolutionary purpose for foreskin, so I'm leaving it.

try think of it this way...things people do effect others, if the parents are screw ups, it will have an effect on their children
if man is punished for his sin, it will also have an effect on his children

the more parents abstain from sin, the less the harmful effects they visit upon their children

and perhaps the punishment is seeing your children suffer because of the sins of man...and perhaps the sorrow from seeing the suffering of children will motivate man to change

and neither are crooked teeth but parents have braces put on their kids and they're not always necessary

like i've said numerous times before, if you want your child's foreskin intact, great, but he's my son and your opinion doesn't play any part in the decision my SO and i have made

i'm his mother, i can make that decision...he's having it done, no questions asked...and he'll be glad for it, trust me, i'm a woman, i know these things....think about it...kids start petting in their teens and american teenage girls ....well, let's just say they'd react to an uncut penis in a way that could cause insecurity and social rejection....which is a whole hell of a lot more painful and remembered than a circumcision at birth

i just feel sad it's gonna hurt....but i don't feel guilty in a sense that i'm second guessing my decision or even think it's a bad one

I don't think I have posted anything meaningful on this thread, but I do want to say that whenever I was in some public changing place with my son and there was another father changing alongside me, it seemed that my son had a bigger penis than the other baby. Maybe it was the foreskin. It seemed like my son's penis was just about the size of my thumb and the other baby's penis was about the size of a pencil.

Things a father notes: "Hey, my kid is swinging some pipe."

Interesting. Where we live it was dropped as a covered expense a long time ago, hence, fewer circumcisions.
