China threatens to nuke Japan over Taiwan in video played on CCP-sanctioned channel
Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso urged dialogue to resolve any issue
By Peter Aitken | Fox News

The Chinese Communist Party aired a video in which it warned Japan of a nuclear response and "full-scale war" if the island nation interferes in China’s handling of Taiwan.

The video, which appeared on a channel approved by the CCP, singles out Japan as the one exception to China’s policy to not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear powers.

"We will use nuclear bombs first," the video said. "We will use nuclear bombs continuously. We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time."

The CCP claims that it will "liberate Taiwan," and it warns against Japan deploying "one soldier, one plane or one ship."

What made them think Japan was planning any military action on Taiwan's behalf?

What made them think Japan was planning any military action on Taiwan's behalf?

Two reasons. The first is Japan has already indicated to the UNited States it would assist in the defense of Taiwan. Second is the geographic proximity of Taiwan to the southern tip of the Japanese Ryukyu Island chain known as the Senkaku Islands which are about 250 miles from Okinawa. The Japanese position is they are crucial to the defense of Okinawa, especially if faced with Chinese aggression which certainly would follow any occupation of Taiwan by the Chinese military.

Apart from the kind of rhetoric that has been continuous since 1949, has China given any sign it actually intends to invade Taiwan in the near and definite future?

I just posted it. It's a couple of days old. read their rhetoric carefully. You can be sure they mean exactly what they say they mean if Japan fails to come to heel and happens to deploy "one soldier, one plane or one ship." Mind you this is the military wing of the CCP talking which is often strident, but this reaches a new level and I think the prime reason they turned their rhetoric up is, Joe Biden. They believe in the face of this threat, Joe and the snowflakes around him will back down on Taiwan and Japan both. I think they are wrong, but there is a battle raging in the Pentagon about directives from Congress to move more military assets into the pacific. Some in the Pentagon do not want to put more personnel and weapons within range of Chinese missiles, but much of our military is already in range of Chinese missiles, even those here at home. So while we fuck around, the Chinese are making plans and carrying them out.

I'm pretty sure RotGut peed himself a little.

I hope his nurse put on his Depends today.

Seriously?

The Japanese government has been grooming the Japanese people on the possible necessity of Japan joining the 'nuclear club' now for years. Japan almost went nuclear back in the 60's but was forestalled by US assurances that we would provide a nuclear umbrella.

The Japanese have the launch vehicles, they've had them for decades now. There's essentially no difference between launching a satellite and launching a nuclear weapon. Just a matter of how you aim the missile. Japan also has the largest stockpile of Plutonium in the world, a by-product of their nuclear power programs. And they most certainly have the technical and engineering know-how to put a nuke together. Various experts in the field believe that Japan could go nuclear in as little as 6 months, and those estimates are 20+ years old now.

China's hubris is becoming ever more dangerous.

It’s what we do. We sit with one thumb up our ass while we waggle our other finger and say no no you can’t do that. We did it with N Korea. We did it with Iran. We’re doing it with China over Taiwan and the South China Sea. We’re doing it with Russia and their militarization of Antarctica.

Russia is building military bases in Antarctica in preparation for a land grab as the polar ice cap melts making mineral resources available for the first time.

They also have a militarist DNA that was good enough in the late 30s to sweep the Chinese from their own coastal plain. Question now is, will China allow them to achieve their former selves?

I think their main effort right now is their militarization of the Artic. I think the events of the last few weeks may have thrown a curve at Putin's dreams of conquest elsewhere. Our total withdrawal of Afghanistan is going to give him some bigger problems. He was quite content to have the US in Afghanistan as we provided a certain amount of stability there, but now he's seeing anything that boils over into his southern neighbors bordering Afghanistan will require him to move military assets into that region to bolster stability there. His main problem is money.

That's what Taiwan wants ... to be liberated. So, what's the problem?

Oh look, jaF0 shills for the CCP openly now.....oh my absolute NOT shock. :D

And it pretends it's not an anti-American piece of shit.
