Xi is now an absolute dictator. Never since Mao has one man held so much power over the nation. He rose to that power through a series of purges starting at the provincial level and moving successively higher in the chain of power. He has successfully eliminated his predecessors and their followers.
I have NO idea as to the ends that he'll go to retain power but, as always, you plan for the worst even if you want the best.
So now, instead of taking cheap, and ignorant, pot shots why don't you engage in discussion and disclose what YOU think and why?

For once, your analysis, in this case your analysis of Xi Jinping is spot on. (it's a rare thing, but maybe there's hope for you.)
So, if you can see that in Mr. Jinping, how is it you cannot see the same qualities in Mr. Trump? Who has proposed the same kind of purges both at the national and provincial level, and the same iron fisted authoritarian rule for the US that Xi has for China? How can you condemn totalitarianism abroad but yet support it in America?
First of all Xi is the family name, not his given name. Get up to speed on Chinese culture.

It does matter to me. Human beings aren't pawns. But yes, the geopolitical landscape basically ignores that it's happening and we should be applying more pressure to force them to stop. But we won't.....people are more concerned about Taiwan being a target or some hypothetical war that won't ever happen. As I said.....you made an entire thread about it.
