Yes, it should be cheese, but today I am extolling the wondrous virtues of cheddar. My roommate and I have been periodically buying a small bar of nice cheddar at the market from various locations in the United States. Of course, I have my personal favorites.

I love cheddar. I love just slicing off a little piece.

Today's treat - Garlic Cheddar. It was delicioso.

What is your favorite cheddar? What flavors do you most enjoy?

Spray Sharp Cheddar, since it all is made in one place in the U.S., brand doens't matter to me.

Not so much into cheddar.

I vote mozzarella - fresh and sliced on roma tomatoes with lots of balsamic vinegar. Some doubt the goodness, but it far surpasses peanut butter on pancakes.

Wax N Wane, about 4 months ago, I would have agreed with you. And then - I discovered a little slice of heaven.

I get this imported Double Glouchester (like a cheddar, a wee bit softer) which is layered with Stilton. Damn that's good, on some Jacob's Cream Crackers.

I would have though WaxNWane would have picked "Whensleydale."
