The Black Terror is one of Project Superpowers most powerful heroes, because of the Formic Ether's he and Tim created.
His Powers include:
Superhuman Strength:The Black Terror is capable of lifting 70 tons. He has several impressive strength feats including; stopping a train weighing in excess of 90,000tons, lifting and tossing tanks in addition to other random lifting feats. The Black Terror's strength is great enough that he rivals even the Mighty Samson in strength. Agility and Stamina: In addition to his immense strength, the Black Terror possesses superhuman agility greater than that of any professional Olympic athlete. His body produces less fatigue-inducing chemicals than a normal human, which grants him superhuman stamina, making him virtually tireless.
Superhuman Durability: The Black Terror is also highly durable and has been shown to withstand the impact of high caliber rounds, falls from incredible heights and ambushes from very powerful villains including Dynamic man, Power Nelson and the Patriots.

Thanks for the feedback Art, well depending on if this thread takes off, I will probably update it daily if not I will just update it when I get the chance. I still have college and work and whenever I can I make time for lit I do, so honestly it all depends on my schedule. But don't be afraid to talk about some of your favorite characters as well. I really would like more people to participate in this if possible.

I like Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach, he's the only character in the series you can't really call good or bad, the guy just loves a good fight and if he's bored with a weak person he's fighting with he'll just either kill them or just walk away out of pure boredom. Cool new thread zip, well since you choose my favorite character of all time WW, I will have go with my second favorite character and that is Donna Troy Aka the first Wondergirl. I like her because even though she was a side kick character to Wonderwoman she eventually grew out of that role and into her own person, plus I love this costume it's the best one she's had. ​

Green Lama's powers come from two different sources, one part of Green Lama's powers comes from his magical knowledge of studying the ways of the Buddhist guru, giving him levitation and flight and the other part of his powers come from his knowledge on how to manipulate radioactive salts in his favor. The radioactive salts give him the powers of
super-speed, super-strength, invulnerability, the ability to shoot blasts of energy-enhanced strikes out of his hands, the ability to control Nature, Teleportation via nature power, enhanced stamina and agility. He can also perform mass resurrections , though these greatly weaken him and cause him to age for a time.

After the war the Fighting Yank is commissioned by the government and his ancestor to capture all of his heroic allies in the Urn of Pandora. The Green Lama, however, was unaware of this and was not trapped in the Urn as he retired to Tibet. During his long sabbatical, the Green Lama heightened his powers by becoming morre in-tuned with the meta-natural world, allowing him to manipulate plant life to the point where he can use it to transport himself around the globe.

After 60 years of sabbatical the Fighting Yank shows up with the American Spirit and pleads with the Green Lama to help him free the heroes he had wrongly captured from the Urn. After listening to the American Spirit the Green Lama agrees and teleports him and the Fighting Yank to New York to take the Urn from the Dynamic Family, who has it on display.

After shattering the Urn and freeing the Heroes the Fighting Yank engages the Dynamic Family only to be joined by one of the freed heroes, the Black Terror. A brief battle ensues and is broken up by the Green Lama who takes over New York with his Nature Powers and transports them both to his land, Shangri-La. The sanctuary is short lived however when the Dynamic Family follows the group back to Shangri-la by way of a tracer that has been placed in the Black Terrors neck. Shangri-la is shortly destroyed and the Green Lama's close friend and assistant Tsarong is killed.

The Superpowers are forced to flee to New York, which had been covered in vegetation by Green Lama in its last encounter, is dubbed the New Shangri-la.

In the Green lamas latest endeavor he encounters the descendant of his long time assistant, Tsarong, who calls herself Bloodlust. The Green Lama and Bloodlust then have a long drawn out battle in which at many points Bloodlust badly wounds the Green Lama, enough so that he has to teleport her away in order to win. After being teleported she ends up on a beach where she swear revenge on the man who she thinks let her ancestor die.

Kent Nelson was the son of archaeologist Sven Nelson, and the two of them were exploring the Valley of Ur in Mesopotamia when they discovered an underground pyramid. It contained Nabu, an ancient immortal from the planet Cilia who had been held in suspended animation for thousands of years. Kent released him, but the lever accidentally unleashed a poisonous gas that killed his father. It would later be revealed that Nabu engineered this situation to gain a new host.

Nabu decided to mentor the young boy in the secrets of the universe, giving him incredible powers through total molecular control and taking his grief away from him. He would serve as an agent of the Lords of Order in their never-ending battle against the Lords of Chaos. Having finished his training, Nabu gave him an amulet, cloak and helmet to become a champion of good as Doctor Fate. Characters and why I like them (Scorpion)

First off personally I think Scorpion is visually is one the coolest looking characters around period. His design has changed from each Mortal Kombat game since the series went from a 2d side by side fighter to a 3d Fighter series. He has really cool finishing moves and attacks but his most famous of lines are “GET OVER HERE!”(Scorpion Get Over Here.mp3) In which Scorpion Sends out a rope with a tipped Kunai at the end, it impales itself into the victim's chest, allowing Scorpion to pull him or her through the air towards him for a free hit, as well as cause a small bit of damage.

Before he became Scorpion the hell-spawned spectre, he was human named Hanzo Hasash, he had a wife and child, he was apart of the Shirai Ryu Clan until they were murdered along with his entire clan. Now he only seeks revenge as a hell-spawned spectre. Despite the fact that Scorpion has previously allied himself with the forces of evil (when promised either means of resurrection on Earth or the chance to inflict his wrath against those who butchered his clan), he is not inherently evil. In fact, Scorpion has, at times, indirectly assisted the game's protagonists, although his reasons for doing so ultimately serve to benefit his own motives.

Characters and why I like them [Ghostrider/Johnny Blaze/Daniel Ketch]

When I first got into Ghostrider it was through Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain’s Marvel Knights book “The Road to Damnation” I’d heard of Ghostrider before and always wanted to know more about him but I just could not find the older back issue’s everywhere I looked the stack or trades were incomplete.

Upon reading the Marvel Knights book I had to know more and in the 616 universe Marvel was putting out a new Ghostrider title and I enjoyed that run as well, yes I did see the movie but I hated that it was PG-13 and the movie was just a train wreck from start to finish, but the special effects for GR himself was not half bad and the second movie looks to be at least better than the first although I’m not expecting much from it.

So getting back on the character, I find that I like Dan more than I do Johnny his character is more relatable and Johnny is just more of a standard badass type, I also think the blue flame is a nice touch to distinguish Dan from Johnny.

His overall appearance just screams badass biker, but the flaming skull is just cool and I mean come on, his bike has flaming wheels you can’t get any better than that. The thing I find most interesting about the Spirit of Vengeance has to be Zarathos who’s pretty much an a demon that tortures and devourers souls, without Zarathos being bonded to Johnny’s soul there would be no Ghostrider, I love the idea of a man struggling with something inside him it makes for a good contrast.

Ghostrider has some pretty cool powers up his arsenal such as the Penance Stare, all he has to do is lock his eyes on you and the victim will experience all the pain and suffering that they have inflicted on everyone in their lifetime, this will causes their soul to be permanently damaged. Dr. Strange said that while fighting the Hulk in the World War Hulk story line that GR powers are limitless, his powers are weaker while Johnny is in control but once Zarathos takes over the power becomes unlimited.

Overall he is a pretty awesome character and Marvel has brought Dan back and it seems there are more Ghostriders out there in the Marvel universe, I’m really intrigued by this idea and I hope Marvel capitalizes on it more. Hi Zip fellow geek here, and the biggest thing I'm a fan of is star wars but of all the characters in it I liked. I really liked Jacen Solo from the expanded universe. The twin son of Han Solo and Princess Leia. During the multiple novel series The New Jedi Order he was asking and feeling alot of the questions and emotions that I was feeling about the conflict, and so that identification eventually made me a fan of his. I saw him as a refreshingly smart Jedi unafraid to ask the questions that needed to be asked. I forsaw that he was on the path to becoming as wise as Yoda for this new generation of Jedi. Unfortunately in the very next novel series they made a complete 180 on the character and made a smart guy into an absolute moron as a Sith lord.

In the series Legacy of the Force I hated Darth Caedus. Partly because of my reaction to the change the writers had made in the character and partly for my distaste for any Sith, and my distaste for their so-called logic and reasoning behind what they do and want to accomplish. But even then Jacen as a Sith was an eleven on a scale of one to ten for stupidity.

Needless to say I'm no longer a fan of the character. I was actually relieved when his twin sister, Jaina killed him.

Characters and why I like them [Invincible/Mark Grayson]

Now when this book first hit shelves, the first thought that came to my mind was why do we need another superhero comic character, especially one that is similar to a very iconic pre-existing character? Image comics was known for taking ideas from Marvel and DC and putting their own little twist and turns on the character and giving them a new name, Spawn kind of being a mixture of Ghostrider and Batman as an example.

As the story progressed I grew too really like the character of Mark, he felt very human; like a typical teenager who would eventually get his superpowers the book does follow a very formula a story telling method at first which is part of the genius. This does not last long; the book goes from being a kid friendly title to being an all out blood fest when Marks dad reveals who he really is and what his true intentions are for planet earth.

It turns out Omni-Man or Nolan is a soldier from a race of aliens known as the Viltrumites whose missions are to conquer planets and once they’ve done so they must report it to their superiors (kind of like Saiyans from dragonballz). Mark of course does not agree with this and he and Nolan have an all out bloody fight in which Nolan nearly beats Mark to death. This is where the story becomes very interesting and Marks character undergoes a major character change, he realizes that he’s not just hero, but he might just need to become something more and fast.

Despite all that happened when the story does progress Mark stays the fame superhero Invincible, but make no mistake when it comes time for a fight Mark is willing to go all the way and them some, he’s killed enemies in very brutal and gory ways and till this day, 50 plus issue’s in this character still questions his morals and if killing is the right thing or is letting the villain live a wise decision. Invincible does a lot of what Marvel and DC could never get away with concerning characters of Spiderman and Superman….well I would hope not considering how brutal Marvel and DC have gotten over the years.


I find his costume to be pretty simple, the “I” on his costumes reminds me of the Image Comics logo. He’s worn the yellow,black and blue costume and then the blue and black costume which was my favorite look for him, but he went back with the yellow, black and blue and tweaked it a tad bit.

Even though he makes mistakes and is pushed to his limit, I still think Mark is a very interesting character and some might say he’s just a lame rip off, but lets not kid ourselves here every character in existence is inspired by another character some how some way. Robert Kirkman is a good writer and I think this is his best work on a comic to date, yes even better than The Walking Dead.
