Character Crushes

A 'legit crush' would be a stretch, but to a lesser degree yes. I would say I occasionally get infatuated with my characters, in the same way I get excited about the work itself while I've got some momentum writing it. I grow to like them as they develop and as a result I enjoy the payoff that much more - a big part of why I like to write erotica rather than, say, watch porn. But I don't think about them in the wee hours of the morning, my little heart aflutter, etc.

Here's a fun one - anyone out there ever have a legit crush on one of their characters? Or maybe on they read in someone else's story?

Or when you're in the middle of a story and out of the blue something in your real life... a song on the radio... some romantic verse, or whatever and you think to yourself, 'That's exactly how I feel about my story 'Crush' or 'Crushes'.

I had two crushes in the same story, Kathy and Valerie.

Kathy was someone who I 'knew of' in college and Valerie, was a real person that I messed around with on a few nights in my dorm room. And I confess, I did fall in love with each character as the story developed.

The story is an extension of those brief encounters.
