Welcome to the club. I like being 50. I started wearing glasses and people take me seriously now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Oh and I always get a seat on the train πŸ˜³πŸ‘΅πŸ»πŸ˜‚

Tea..

Cuppa is short hand for cup of tea...cup o' tea...cuppa!

Brew is also used as a name for tea...you brew tea in a teapot

Another term for tea is Rosie - Rosie lee...tea - cockney Rhyming slang ( and that opens a whole new other conversation subject!)

This happened to me last year for the first time. A woman in her twenties got up on the Tube and offered me her seat. I was poised with a diatribe on her need to break free from patriarchal expectations, when I suddenly realised she thought I might be infirm, remembered my manners, lied, told her I was only going two stops and that my knees were better when I was upright, got out two stops later, scuttled into the next carriage where I hoped she wouldn't notice me, and felt utterly crushed.

I love Cockney rhyming slang. My plates of meat are killing me, make me a cup of Rosie will ya?

I have been offered seats on trains for about 10 years now. Germans are just so friendly! It is crushing though.
