3 1/2 more days? I'm not exactly what you would call a patient person. Still, if people need more time, we might as well oblige them. I'd rather not have to wait that long, but I don't want anyone missing out because we rushed things either. In the end, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, so I'll go with majority on this one.

I agree. That means more than anything. The fact they are willing to read them and not randomly guess is worth extending the time.neonurotic said:

No way.
Interest and focus is not only waning....its wained. I think most people want to know the answers.
There are plenty of us working full time M-F that have managed to read them all and vote. I know I haven't voted on the threads, but I have read them all....and told the wife my choices. In fact I read them all on the Monday evening when I got home from work.
She just grinned at me.

What I want is TIME TO READ and guess, not look at the answers before me and add my take because someone I know guessed something before me. I feel it is a fair shake to give readers a longer time than writers. But, whatever Min wants is good. I'm still struggling with the 'A' list and I know one correct answer
The standard of the stories, and extracts, is very high indeed. I additionally perceive a similarity in style between many - not entirely due to the artificial conditions of the competition; thus, identifying individual writers is no straightforward measure and I'm further distracted by reading stories by listed authors, I must have read at least twenty full submissions today - more than I read on Lit for some time
If the time line is extended, I'll end up reading more submissions, I won't necessarily get any closer to identifying whose written what in this comp.
