I came across this, I don't know about anyone else but I have a real problem with this.
All this age verification has got to stop. Let's face it, it's not protecting kids. It's all about control.

I agree.
It's going the same way over here in the UK. Verify with photo or credit card to access 'what ever your trying to'. VPNs are the current way to go but the UK Gov have Royal Accent to lock them behind an ID Check.
I do think the Internet has become largely a depraved place and some regulation or a reset is needed, however the way our respective Gov's are going is about control and monitoring it citizens.
