alright...so last night i found out my cell phone isn't alcohol proof. :rolleyes:

anybody have any phone recommendations for me? warnings of phones to stay away from would be helpful as well.

network wise, i'm on verizon wireless.

thanks in advance :kiss::rose:

Sorry to hear you phone couldn't handle its alcohol.

I have a Motorola Krazr I like for the most part. It's slim and all and I prefer the 'clamshell' design. The software is a little slow - that is, punch a function button and there's a short pause before it responds. But the sound quality is good.

I have a Motorola PEbl and I love it.

It has everything the razr has plus but its small cute with no sharp corners, feels nice and opens with the flick of your thumb.

A friend of mine has a Blackberry Pearl and it doesn't do what my PEBL can.

I saw unlocked ones in colors some where for $145. Mine is black but I would have preferred green.

Being a guy with large fingers, EVERY cellphone is a piece of crap.

I have a RAZR V3i that I've had for over a year, and it still works great. The mp3 player is nice, too. :) The things I really like about it are that its the same size as a regular phone once you open it up, and it's slim enough to fit perfectly in the back pocket of my jeans...plus, no random buttons are pushed if I drop it in my purse (I'm too lazy to do the key lock thing).

I checked out the Verizon website. It seems like every single cell phone they sell (other than smartphone and Blackberrys) are either clamshell or slideout models. Not a single "bar phone" (as they're apparently called) model. You know, no moving parts, buttons below the screen on the front. Same thing at AT&T. 3 out of some 50 phones were what I'd call "normal" design. Over here, 3 out of 4 are compact bar phones, and I wouldn't ever want anything else.

I had no idea the options were so damn different across the pond. Flabbergasted is me.

But if it's possible, I'd recommend a Samsung SGH-U100. Because it's slick.

I'd say go with one from the same manufacturer as your old one. That will save you some time figuring out the new user interface.

Been owning Nokias myself for years, and I don't think they're better or worse than other cellphones, but I know the way around them.
