Cato Institute: Politically Motivated Violence Data

Thank you for proving my point.
Not so, typical rwcj response. Go back through your own posts, you dismiss any and every thing you don’t agree with, offering no evidence. Arrogant enough to correct published studies.
Even the doj study came up with most political violence being from the right, yet you appear to know better.
You’re just an agitator with nothing to offer but more division.

I love the smell of propaganda.

The leftists are committing acts of violence all over the country and this low IQ mouth breathing obliviot who has never left his blue fascist echo chamber says "L....L....L....Look at this!"

Just go online and not to the news but all the people in TT YT X and other platforms in the streets filming these maniacs.

Our only hope is Darwinism, that these things who are no longer actual people get themselves killed or give themselves aneurisms from their constant apoplexy.

A good look in this forum will show you who the drooling unhinged psychos are.

The USA has more guns per capita and more people in jail and more drug addicts than any country in the world.

So of course you have more violence…. Political, Economic, Drug, Race, Gender, Religious….

You have a violent society, dummies.
Lol

We've had even more guns per capita in the past and times when you could get them by mail order. Almost no mass shootings.

We have over 20,000 gun laws. The more gun laws we pass, the more shootings we get. And 94% of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones. So no, it's not the guns.

Gun laws kill people, not guns!

Ahaha!

The US has more mass shootings than any other country. It also has more Donald Trumps than any other country. This cannot be a coincidence.

The US has WAAAAAAY more DonOld Trump supporters (MAGAts & amoosexuals) as well…

That ^ is no coincidence…

😳

We. Told. Them. So.

🌷

Politically motivated murders are committed six times more often by right wing people than left wing.

We are sorry that facts upset you so much.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sorry, that's simply not so. I've already posted the links and numbers debunking that.

Well over 90% of which are committed in gun-free zones. We vhe over 20K gun laws in this country. Yet we have mass shootings. What our gun laws do is disarm the public, not the criminals. By definition, criminals don't obey the law.

I mean, it works so well with drugs, right?

The problem isn't guns; it's crazy people on psychotropic drugs. It's soft targets. (As I said, there's a reason they target schools, churches, and malls.) It's toxic ideology. It's video games and some public policies that cheapen the value of human life. There are plenty of things we could do, but disarming the people isn't one of them, both for practical and constitutional reasons.

I’m a lifelong gun owner and was at one point an NRA member. A long time ago.

That said I still support gun ownership in the US. As crazy as my wife and some fellow liberals think I am for that, constitutionally law-abiding, stable US citizens are legally protected gun owners.

That said, the right to own a firearm should come with extensive caveats, restrictions, and limitations. Just as the right to drive a car requires training, a license, and ramifications for those who abuse or are unable to safely drive without recurrence of endangering others.

There are reasons certain vehicles and options aren’t street legal. It absolutely would not prevent every tragedy, but it would help.

The NRA represents the gun manufacturers and no one else. And they hold every Republican legislator, and some independents and democrats, hostage. If they truly were interested in the greater good they would adopt common sense solutions that would protect the 2nd amendment without pretending it was meant to be interpreted as every American should be entitled to build an arsenal, no matter what mental or legal condition they have

How would it supposedly help? If they want the weapon, they'll get it. If they want to kill, they'll kill.

I assumed you may reply with something of that nature. So what is your solution? Do you believe, like Charlie Kirk, that we should be willing to accept a certain amount of innocent deaths?

What bipartisan legislation should, could, be passed to address what is clearly an issue that affects everyone, regardless of political affiliation or thought?

I’ve read the full thread. I’ve seen a couple thoughts but no solution.

How do we start to bridge the differences?
